I took the sled- as not to disappoint my kids- but I will not return to this store or recommend it to anyone else.

When I arrived there were three employees near the front door but none offered to assist me. I found the handles and took them to the register. The cashier rang them up and said $70+. I mentioned they showed on the website for $22. She said I had the wrong handles but did not offer any assistance in finding the right ones. She asked I look them up on my phone and provide her the product number which I thought was strange as a computer terminal was in front of her. Another employee came to my assistance and found the right handles albeit for $2 more than shown on the website. At this point I just wanted the handles and to get out of there so I didn't quibble and paid. The cashier was quite unfriendly and displayed a "you're bothering me" attitude followed with "take it or leave it, I don't really care". I live in west Little Rock and had driven downtown specifically for the handles. I try to make purchases at locally owned businesses whenever possible. Needless to say, I won't return to Besser. If I want to be ignored and unappreciated as a customer I can just go to Home Depot or Lowes much closer to my home.

They have a smaller selection of goods but I can tell it is well curated. It is slightly more pricey (or at least what I purchased) but worth it as I know I am supporting a small, locally owned business. Customer service was friendly but all of the 3 people that work there that I saw remained behind the counter during my visit. I only saw one customer at the counter at a time checking out. Would have loved to have some interaction during my visit in lieu of going to counter to ask my questions. Overall, good experience. I will likely return.
