I was expecting good things as so many people had raved about it. I must say I really liked it. Whilst the decor may need a touch up here and there, I found the places charm and lack of pretension lovely. My significant other has Curried split pea soup, and I had Bacon, Brie and Cranberry Ciabatta. Both were tasty and a perfect light lunch, with organic presse things to drink. We paid and took two hot chocolates with us for the walk down to the car! There is wifi for those of you with fancy phones, just ask at the bar for the key. This is a perfect alternative to the generic Costa in the high street, and well worth walking up the hill for. I'll be sure to be back here in the summer!

While the Anchor is a cosy gastropub, the Table is more of a bistro, with great atmosphere (three smallish rooms with four or five tables in each, subdued lighting, candles and relaxed, informal atmosphere) - and good food. The menu changes frequently, with four or five choices for each course. It's a great place for romantic meals for two or having dinner with friends. Usually pretty packed, so you need to book ahead especially on weekends. Definitely one of my top two or three place to eat out in Woodbridge.

There is also a small restaurant with a long refectory table with a relatively simple menu comprising mainly baked goods (sausage rolls, sandwiches using their bread, tarts, etc). It's a great place for a simple breakfast. They also do chocolate though, for me, it's all about the bread.
