This bar is at the top of the Grand Hotel. You do have to take two sets of stairs to get to it. I didn't see an elevator that would get there all the way up there. But if you're able, get there. There are two levels to this bar so maybe the first level is attainable with accessibility and then the top level might not be. Check ahead. This bar is absolutely gorgeous!!! There is a large or dare I say "grand" Chihuly glass chandelier hanging from the center from the upper section to the lower section, so it can be seen from both floors of this small but beautiful bar. We walked into the lower level first and the bartender immediately turned to us with a great big smile and welcomed us to the bar and asked if we wanted anything to drink. The wallpaper on this bar is light and beautiful and big windows look out over the ground towards Lake Huron. I was mesmerized immediately. Then we went upstairs to the upper level and there are 180° views of equally big clean windows at a beautiful sunny day outside was just breathtaking. We sat at a table and a server came over quickly and offered us cocktails and welcomed us to the bar. The service was kind of like being at Disney with impeccable service. I had the Machiatto Martini, and my aunt had a glass of rosé. The macchiato martini had Van Gogh double espresso vodka, Dorda sea salt, caramel, Dorda double chocolate, Frangelico, Amaretto, and Baileys. It was visually, stimulating and delicate and sweet and rich, as expected. I may try to make these at home - ha ha!! The views were spectacular and there was light acoustic guitar music playing on speakers, but not too loud and just a nice place to be in the moment at this magical hotel and have a cocktail either to end the day or end your time at the hotel. I'll never forget it.

It's not pretentious, as you are greeted by the a member of their friendly staff as you enter. There are multiple facets to this venue, so it makes your visit exciting. I wont share any "spoiler's" so when you visit you can experience all the niceties personally. Food is fresh and menu changes occur seasonally. Tonite we only had appetizers but they were both very good. We had the Baked Brie, a puff pastry filled with creamy Brie and a jam dressing. It included a very tasty fruit and nut cracker, sliced apples and Carmel corn nuggets. Great combination of sweet and savory! We also had the Shrimp Cocktail. You get 8 very nice size shrimp, which were nicely chilled (nothing worse than warm shrimp) and cocktail sauce. The shrimp were fresh and meaty, good flavor. The staff is great. Riley did a great job taking care of us. We were also greeted by the owner John, who was visiting and talking with every table of guests. This IMO is a sign of a establishment that wants to insure their patrons are happy and enjoying their experience. We would definitely recommend giving them a try when in Cheboygan or the area.

I believe one of the owners, or a manager was checking on guests randomly, which is always a nice thing to see however... The food is EXPENSIVE. 1/3 pound burger for $18?? Seriously? That's barely over the size of a McDonalds hamburger. A few items for $40ish and I couldn't justify spending it, if I was still going to be hungry. We kept looking around at what others were eating, and nothing appeared to be much food in front of others at all. Most of the items shown on their menu through Google, are not on their limited menu either. We were looking forward to trying it for someplace different, but it wasn't worth the money to us. We were hungry, and realized this wasn't the place to go if you were, so we nicely paid for our drinks, tipped our sweet server and quietly left. We ended up going next door to Mulligans. Again -it has a great atmosphere, the service seems to be excellent, and is a very nice place, but not for dinner unfortunately.

We sat on folding chairs at the table. Our waitress carried our drinks by the rim of the glass. Out of the taco Tuesday special by 7:00. They were out of iced tea as well. There's also a very odd long mirror in the women's bathroom giving you a unique view of yourself while using the restroom. We did not have the 4.7 star experience that we expected from other reviews. I will say the flat iron steak and the shrimp pasta was good. Our other items were just okay.

The chicken tenders come with a creamy mustard sauce (also beige) that is delicious all by itself. The chicken fried chicken is also great, and comes with a bacon-corn gravy smothered on top. The chicken fried chicken is served with mashed potatoes and green beans. It's a comforting dish. They have a small kids menu at Mary's: a cheeseburger, chicken nuggets, grilled cheese and mac & cheese. All of the kids entrees come with fries, except the mac & cheese. One of my children ordered the kids' mac & cheese, and I'm happy to say that the mac & cheese is house-made, and not Kraft mac & cheese. I like when a restaurant makes an effort to make their own mac & cheese for kids! The location is great -- right on the beach, with patio seating. We visited during the fall, on a chilly day, so we sat inside, but we still had a nice view of the beach. After we ate, we were steps away from the sand. The server was really nice and took our order but we didn't see her again until later when we were done with the food. No checking in so we weren't able to ask for things like extra sauce or another set of silverware. In terms of food everything was a little off. The mushroom pizza was too lemon forward. Maybe they should use truffle oil instead of lemon. The Nashville chicken sandwich was dry and ended up being tough/overly fried. For the entrees we had to pay $5 to add fries to our sandwiches, which I think becomes overpriced for what you get. The truffle fries didn't really have any truffle flavor. The only saving grace was the grilled cheese sandwich with caramelized onions. Overall, the "bistro" didn't really live up to the name. Felt more like a dark bar with a country theme and a nice view of the waters.

I think the Tilt'n Hilton is a staple of Hilton Beach. My husband and I come around for the summer…read moreevery few years or so, and we always find ourselves spending a lot more time at the Tilt'n Hilton than expected. Every time we've stopped by, someone greets us with a smile as we find our seats. As you get settled, someone comes by with a good drink, a steady joke or conversation and a menu... Things I've loved: - The food! The wings are fantastic, with so many different styles to choose from! We're used to having a hard time finding good vegetarian friendly fare.. not here! And in the summers, the white fish fry is perfect! Everything's definitely fresh, especially with the amount of care put into the large chunks of fish, still sweet from its freshness. The wings aren't over fried or overly buttery. No complaints. - The Onion Rings and the Cheese Stick basket. We have a strict no onion ring or fried things rule, except here. We don't walk away feeling sick because the breading is stale or too much or been sitting in the oil. And the little cheeseballs are just a surprising and delightful break from most fried Cheese arrangements. - The view. There's ample seating on the patio outside, with a great view of the marina. It's great people watching too! The park is right close by, so as kids run by to play, you can keep an eye on them. - The pool table! My dream is to learn how to hustle someone at pool... this is where I can practice. The dream may not happen for a long while, but we're getting there! - The people, the company! Everyone greets each other like old friends. Families sit out on the deck, until close, with people stopping by at tables to chat and catch up. It feels like home. It feels cozy. I love that we were there until close several times, and little kids all tired from running to the park, covered in ice cream were dozing off as parents caught up with aunties and uncles. No one had their eyes glued to their cellphones or were too busy catching up on email to catch up with each other. - The service. I don't mind that there's not someone glued to my elbow, asking at every second, are you ready? are you ready? It's paced, but not slow. It's comfortable, not rushed. We ordered wine once that we thought had turned, we felt bad complaining, but the wine wasn't charged and we drank something else. No one gave us any grief, no one accused us of lying. It's like sitting in your grandma's kitchen when your auntie asks you if you're okay. It's home-y. Things I didn't love: - The closing hour. I'm used to being in a place where things are open until at least 11pm. And it's so bright outside still when last call and food stops. I get it, it's the way of life, but I don't wanna go back yet! - The bathroom sign. Still managed to get lost. Tried to walk into the kitchen...
