This was my first visit to this pet store. It is a family owned pet store in a plaza on 30th street in Canton. There were quite a few fish tanks/aquariums on display with fish. It was impressive to see larger fish that I don't normally see in a regular pet store for sale which was awesome! However, I was bothered by the cleanliness of the fish tanks throughout the store. I loved the creativity of displays including the way the water was flowing into the tanks. The metal shelf bases of many of the fish tanks were rusted (as to be somewhat expected with metal shelves). Not all of the fish tanks were covered which caught me off guard with the tanks on the bottom shelves with cats roaming the store. My favorite was the baby turtle display case. The shelves were well stocked with aquarium cleaners, fish food, dog & cat food, and lots of toys for all your family pets. read more

I love this store with everything I have and the staff is great! I come here all the time for everything I need and nothing can change my loyalty to whiskers!!! However, unfortunately I haven't had the best luck with some suggestions I received twice. I was recommended tiger barbs to go into my angelfish tank and had no reason to doubt that, it didn't work and they hurt my fish so I returned them in exchange for 4 swordtails and 3 rainbow sharks. The rainbow sharks ate every single swordtail while I was away and are now aggressive towards eachother. I know this duo may work with some but it's an unfortunate coincidence that this happened twice with the recommendations I received. No one's fault and I will continue to support this family and their store read more

I go here to buy my dog food and the staff is always very helpful in answering any questions about my dog. They have lots of other cool things for sale and the discount program is a great reason to keep coming back. read more

This pet store is absolutely awesome!!! The staff is incredibly helpful, I highly recommend this place to anyone for whatever your pet needs are! I have gotten kittens, snakes, lizards and all the mice I need! You guys rock!!!! They are an exotic pet store and they keep the place in tip top shape! Bought two dogs years ago from them when they raised their own in Nimishillen Twp. Two Lhasapoos. They were wonderful pets. As the years went by they moved and we suspect they were getting dogs from outside breeders. Not the good kind. Buy at your own risk. read more

This is the best pet store in the area. I have gotten several animals from them. Always healthy and well taken care of! ! If I have an issue they always take care of it. And they have become friends over the visits. Always going the extra mile . They keep an amazing assortment of animals. The prices are great. Staff is wonderful. read more

I just bough 2 betta fish yesterday just to come home from work today to find one dead and the other nearly dead. I found out they have fin rot. So if you want betta fish dont go here because most likely all of them are infected now. read more

I bought my golden doodle here 2 years ago. 1) He was supposed to have been neutered. He wasn't. I returned to the store with my vet paperwork to tell them and was faced by a man 3x my size who instantly became defensive and aggressive with me. He had told me his mother bred all the dogs herself when I bought my boy. This time he said "the people we get them from make sure they're neutered when we get them." I was later called during which time he told me "we 110% guarantee that puppy is neutered... But if not, bring him back and we will make it right." No way in hell was I bringing my puppy back in so they could do some backwoods testicle smashing. No way was I making a return on a puppy who had become my son. Especially now that I know all about their backwoods surgeries with NO ANESTHESIA. 2) My golden doodle was supposed to be a mini and not exceed 45 lbs. He's definitely a standard, as he is now 75 lbs. I feed him Fromm, a $65 bag of dog food, and he's regularly groomed and vetted. He is treated like my child. He has quite a few health issues on top of the awful way I was treated and scammed. I will never step foot in this store again. read more

So I had my cousin go by and buy and axolotl since everyone was posting on Facebook that the ones being there we're being kept in horrible conditions. So she got the little axolotl and were going to nurse him back to health. I went in a couple weeks ago and the dogs are kept in cages and look horrible.. I didn't wanna think the place was bad due to the fact that they kept their fish in great shape. With the exception of an employee named Harry Schankweiler who works here (who I find to be a little covertly abusive, disrespectful, micro-aggressive and inconsistent in the way that he relates to me) this store does have slightly cheaper prices than most large-chain pet stores. The son of the owner, Susan, named Joe has always been decent to me and even offered to deliver a large cage directly to my home that I recently ordered. The smell is a little bad when you first walk in, but they have a pretty decent selection of products for a 'mom-and-pop' pet store. read more

We got our dogs from this place and one of our dogs was supposed to be 25 pounds he's 50! When we got him home I noticed he had scabs all over his head. After we finally set him down to play with his brother we realized he couldn't walk well from being in a cage that was too small. After taking both boys to our vet she couldn't believe they were already neutered being so young. She also proceeded to tell us the reason our shihpoo teeth were so messed up was from inbreeding. Makes me sick to know they are still up and running. read more

This place is disgusting, dirty, and stinks. Animals are not taken care of and are caged up. The owners have admitted to doing surgeries on puppies with NO anesthesia. They are not vets and yet are acting as such. DO NOT BUY FROM THEM. read more

I'm not going to mention the whole puppy mill business, I just went there to look at the animals for fun to see how it was. There were a few good things about it. There were cats that lived there I guess and they were roaming around, so that was cute. I liked the selection of fish and cute swimming frogs and axolotls. But there were more bad things than good, it smelled bad and the kittens looked really sad. They were in a cage and they were all huddled up on each other like they were really scared. There were dead fish and the other fish were eating them. Don't buy any animals here. read more

I'm posting this in as many places as I can, I'm truly disgusted. "DO NOT GO HERE. Not only does the store smell like urine, their puppies are kept in very small pens and they are asking $250++ for MIXED BREED DOGS. They look like puppy mill dogs to me. Today they had two golden doodle puppies in stacked pens, one atop the other, and they had enough room to move and that was it. They didn't even have water bowls!! They had those things you give rabbits. One of the puppies was trying to get a drink and he got so frustrated that he rolled on his back and started swatting at it. In the back of the store with the reptiles, there was a small, maybe 15 gallon tank that contained about 6 small turtles and a lizard. In the same tank. That just sounds like a horrible idea. If you don't have room for your animals to live comfortable until purchased, DO NOT HAVE THEM. The thing that aggravates me most is the care of their parrots. You are not supposed to clip the wings of finches and budgies, and doves. All of the birds they have were clipped. Their resident Grey and Amazon are in very small cages with too few perches and one toy, and even a quick google search will tell you that parrots need many toys and enrichment items, as well as several perches of various sizes to keep them happy and healthy. The Cockateils and budgies were also very poorly raised. Caring for baby birds is a lot of work, and it is obvious these people ignored this. The clear evidence that they are poorly cared for is they were terrified of human contact, and they were VERY small. They probably have health problems as well and I highly recommend contacting a good breeder or a rescue organization to get a bird, rather than buy from these people. They were on an all seed diet as well. Parrots need at least a mix of dried fruits/veggies and pellets, with seeds and nuts given as minimal treats, and supplemented with fresh fruits and veggies. Seeds cause a variety of deadly health problems. They also had a Quaker parakeet, which are notoriously territorial in the same 'pen' as their two terrified Cockatiels. This is very dangerous for the Cockatiels. I've been around many rescue parrots and have seen toes hacked off by aggressive cagemates. And to top it all off, when I asked if their Quaker Parakeet was friendly (I was attempting to scratch the head of this bird, he was a cutie) the man responded (While heading to do something with the puppies in tiny cages) with "Yeah, very! You can grab him, hold him, or throw him like a football, I don't care!". That's right. An employee encouraged me to 'throw him like a football'. How professional! All in all while the place looks nice and flashy, this is a terrible place that obviously does not care at all where their puppies come from or the health of their animals. --- Bird owner of 8 years, previous Parrot rescue/rehab center volunteer, dog owner." read more

Fantastic pet store. They've recently been slandered on certain websites, although the person who did most of the slandering lied. I've been there a few times, the last time for around an hour. The staff is kind, knowledgable, and helpful. All of the animals are well cared for. A friend of mine has over 10 healthy pets from this store, including two dogs and a chinchilla. 5/5, definitely a place to buy a pet or supplies in the area. read more

This place has recently moved to 30th street in canton and still smells just as bad. When you walk into a store you shouldn't immediately feel like throwing up. You have to literally hold your breath the entire time in the store to avoid passing out. And for enduring the smell the animals should at least be cheaper. Their animals do not look healthy at all.
