I don't write many reviews. I especially don't write many reviews on Y..p because they often unfairly filter reviews, in my opinion. The Rudy at Gold & Silver's Pets was a pleasure to work with. I have nothing but good things to say about his responsiveness and the quality of the min Golden Doodle he sold me. At my request, he did a live stream with my dog's parents and with my puppy (Beau). He told me before I purchased Beau that the puppies are kept with their litter makes in a large area covered with cedar chips and sure enough, Beau smelt like cedar when we picked him up. We picked Beau up in Durham, NC. Rudy lives in OH but makes frequent trips to NC to sell his puppies. It made me nervous to buy a dog from a breeder that lives so far away but it all worked out great. I highly recommend Rudy and his business. He sold me a beautiful boy! After a long search, Rudy was absolutely wonderful, patient, and caring. He allowed us to take our time, check out his facility, meet the parents and wait for our perfect mini Goldendoodle, Jasmine. We went for Jasmine and also brought home our precious Pekepoo, Geno. After waiting six years since we lost our beloved 14 year old dog, they are the best additions to our family! Do NOT buy a puppy from this breeder! My boyfriend and I just bought a Golden Retriever puppy from Rudy recently and we have had health issues with her since the day we brought her home. We've had her for a little less than a month now and have taken her to the vet many times already due to the health issues she's been having. We had her fecal sent to the lab to be tested and she tested positive for multiple intestinal infections such as coccidia and giardia just to name a few. The veterinarian was concerned on where we bought her from and whether it was a sanitary place for dogs and puppies to be living in because of all the intestinal infections she contracted while living at Rudy's. The puppies do not live IN the house with the breeder. Rudy has many different breeds of dogs and all the dogs and puppies live in a separate garage together, so the chances of the puppies contracting infections/diseases and getting sick is extremely high. I would also like to add that the day we went to pick up our puppy to take her home, Rudy (the breeder) wasn't even there to give her to us. How is the dog breeder not even there when you got to buy one of his puppies? Some random girl whom I never spoke with before was there instead. When we tried asking her basic questions about our new puppy before leaving, she wasn't able to answer of them, which made us skeptical. I'm not one to post reviews, but I think it's important for people to be aware of the living conditions of the dogs before purchasing a puppy from Rudy and Gold & Silver Pets. read more

I am pleased to say that Rudy stepped up as a responsible breeder and contacted me about the issues I was having with my dog. He did issue me a (partial) refund that we agreed upon. He admitted he hadn't handled things the best and I am grateful that he made the effort to make things right!! We love our puppy!! I wouldn't give her up for the world! read more
