Watch out for dog walkers who don't use leashes. I've had near collisions with dogs. Most people are friendly and respectful. Local advice: park in the tiny lot by Chase Lane (look for the white fence along 33). It's a nice ride from there. Cool fields and a few narrow bridges. Most trails are on trailforks. Most fun trail is Dead Fish, perhaps USA Today too.

Stratham Hill Park has one of the largest town fairs in the state the third week of July that partially funds the City of Stratham's volunteer fire department. Mark it on your calendar for great food and family fun for an important cause.

Walked in there for around 30-40 minutes, clicked some nice pictures, saw geese, robin, butterflies, insects etc. If you go on a rainy day, expect your shoes to get dirty with the mud. We saw few boats parked while walking by the loop. Make sure you have your bug repellent with you.

I brought my Brompton Electric in for service after Brompton recommended warranty repair and Cycle Loft refused to do the work (under warranty) that Brompton had recommended on my 1 month old bicycle claiming that "Brompton doesn't know what they are talking about..." I had an equally disappointing interaction with a salesmen recently after I inquiring about purchasing another bicycle. I ended up buying my new bicycle online since I have had such a poor experience with the best "Gold" experience that brick and mortar has to offer Brompton Electric enthusiasts in the Burlington area.

This can be a quick drive kind of spot or a great morning hike as trails to beaver ponds, glacial erratics, and picnic tables are all within a short distance of the forest roads. The fire tower was out of commission for years but has happily been restored, and interpretive signs at the top show each visible peak including, Mt. Tom and Mt. Monadnock among them, on clear enough days. The only facilities are a port-o-let at the bottom of Soapstone Road, so plan accordingly if you don't want to make the ten minute trip back down to Ellington.

Parking lot might get full but don't worry. Drive a few feet down the road and there are lots all along the route. I parked close to the visitors center. Small gift shop here which had some pretty cool stuff but I thought it was somewhat expensive. I did get there right in time for a short 30 minute movie. I was so happy I got to watch this. Some real cool lighting and a great story. "Road to Revolution" it was called. I highly recommend this! I then walked along the trail called "Battle road". Went for a few miles. There are great signs along the way to tell you about what historical event happened. I will definitely be back here in the fall when all the trees are colorful for a bike ride.
