Highly recommend! Our invitations turned out so amazing - my husband got them framed as a surprise wedding present for me actually. Melissa is super responsive and very easy to work with - she had a blazing fast turn around time on everything we sent her way and as we got to see our save the dates, etc ended up purchasing more items because they just turned out so amazing. I would highly recommend and I am positive we will use her again for other paper goods - although she specializes in weddings, I also loved her designs for Thank You cards, etc. Edit - I also loved all of the reviews we were able to do - very high quality and looked very much like the "real thing". Paper quality was amazing as well and she worked really closely with us to make sure we stayed in budget while certainly not compromising quality. We even had to do a last minute re-print of our programs due to a flower girl change (not her fault obviously) and she got them done SO fast - we still had everything finalized 2-3 weeks before the big day with room to spare. read more

Please do yourself a favor and do not ruin your wedding with this woman. She makes critical errors on the invitations and then blames you for not catching HER mistakes. She gives you paper choices that you don't realize cannot be written on and then tells you it's the paper you chose! She was a week late getting us the invitations and could not have cared less. Beware - if you don't want your wedding ruined, stay away from her! No accountability, blames you for her negligence, and charges you so much that I'm too embarrassed to share. It was easy to tell that she put a lot of effort into designing out invites. Our wedding was a 3 day event and we wanted the invitation to include a pocket that detailed the events. What she designed was absolutely perfect and we received such positive feedback from family and friends. Melissa was so wonderful to work with. She really listened to what I wanted and improved on my vision. I wanted black invites with gold writing and she came up with a way to make them way more affordable and I so appreciated that because she didn't have to do that. She is truly a talented artist. I have to say my wife and I were very disappointed with the work Melissa and Whimisque produced. We hired her for wedding invitations for our wedding this past June. The multiple rounds of digital proofs contained misspellings, incorrect grammar and generally a design not up to par with what we were paying for. When we did finally receive our printed invitations they contained misspellings, crooked printing and the quality of the paper was abysmal. We weren't expecting to get the most high-end expensive invitations, but what came was essentially printed on construction paper. After sending the invitations back, and coming down to the last minute before the wedding Melissa re-printed the invitations. Disappointment again! the design was absolutely hideous and was again on such low quality paper! We threw out the invitations and she would not give us any money back. We gave up on Whimsique and ordered invitations on Minted. We should have done this from the beginning. They came on time and were better looking and cheaper than the two disasters Whimsique produced. read more

Melissa and her team are incredibly talented, professional, and creative! We couldn't be happier with our wedding invitations... they were stunning!!! We came to Melissa with no real idea of what we wanted other than our color scheme. She showed us examples of past products Whimsique had designed and explained ways we could have what we wanted (for the elegance factor we'd hoped for), but stay within our budget. She was even creative enough to reuse a gold stamp she had made for a previous customer, but tailored it to fit our design and initials by combining the stamp and printing together! It turned out perfectly and was very cost effective. Overall throughout the entire process, Melissa's communications were incredibly prompt, detailed, and thorough which I greatly appreciated as we were planning our San Diego wedding from Hawaii and the time difference and distance made it challenging working with many vendors... but Melissa made it easy for us. After ordering our invitations and seeing how incredible they'd turned out (the quality was unbelievable and the delivery presentation when we opened the box was a special touch of class), we decided to add on additional paper products to our order to include signs for our ceremony, name cards, and programs. Once again, Melissa did not disappoint... all of them turned out beautifully. So, if you are looking for someone who is creative, responsive, client-oriented, budget mindful, and genuine, go with Whimsique! You will be so happy you did! have been working with Melissa (owner and designer) for about a month now for my upcoming wedding invites. We just finalized the design and I am already impressed with the service I have recieved. Melissa is always available to answer any questions you have. She gets back so quick. You can tell she is passionate about what she does and her main goal is to keep her clients completely happy! She is also such a sweet personal, as well as very professional. I first contacted her on a Saturday night after stumbling across her work on-line and the next day she responded back to me and set up a phone consultation the same day. We then set up a meeting for the next day. She showed up with a many samples of previous work and different swatches of papers she using to design her items. She was very descriptive and made sure I was fully aware of the process and time lines. I let her know what I wanted and she told me she will get back to me later that night with a quote (we met around 4pm) and by 10pm she had a very descriptive quote readily available for me. I left the meeting knowing for sure I wanted to work with her. I am so excited to see the final product (the invites) and also get started on the rest of the stationary (programs, place cards, menus, etc.,) I will definitely recommend Melissa for anyone who wants quality, designer, custom Invitations, stationary, etc.,. We were referred to Whimsique by our wedding planner and sadly had a very bad experience. Relying on Melissa as a "designer" proved to be the worst decision of our wedding. We gave her our color scheme, met with her for an hour to convey our wishes for an elegant informative invitation and she seemed to understand what we wanted. When we got the proof we were appalled. Even our wedding planner called the invitations "DIY." The invitation contained grammatical errors, had crooked lines, and showed glue! When we spoke to Melissa not only was she non-apologetic but she intimated it was our fault. The customer is never right with Whimsique. I feel badly writing this review but I want to save another bride the money and the headache Melissa caused me. read more
