I was told that the airline did not receive payment for the seats listed on our itinerary! I went to the business to see what contact info was listed, but saw that there was a posting by the building management that the storefront was deemed abandoned due to non-payment of rent. Additional information was posted to contact the Long Beach Police Department to file a police report. Inside was completely vacated except for debris and trash strewn about the floor. So.. after leaving there, I found out my dad had bought calling cards from Cambodia Express. Tried them out to find that all nine cards had accounts that were suspended! Boo!! to this business... also beware of their sister business from which they branched off of--PHNOM PENH EXPRESS & WATER. It is owned by the same family.

When I travel on business, we're supposed to go through our corporate travel office which I always figured got the best rates for airfare and such. I don't like using them for personal travel, though, so I would always do that myself and search online and sign up for deal newsletters to help me. Recently I had a few personal trips I needed to take and I had been told about Idyllwild so I thought I'd give them a try. I will now never go back to booking myself! Joanna at Idyllwild was amazing in how she was so professional and thorough in making sure she knew exactly what I was looking for and what my budget was, and then coming through. Not only did she save me a lot of money but just as important, she saved me a lot of time! She got some amazing hotel rates and even called the airlines personally to negotiate the best rates and had all the details worked out so I didn't have to worry or even think! She highly recommended that I try G Adventures, a company that provides small group tours all over the world. I went for it and booked their 10-day Japan tour. Carol worked seamlessly with G Adventures to be sure my flight & transfer was organized and also helped connect me with a travel insurance company to be sure I had everything I needed. The tour included a two night stay with a local family in Hagi, Japan. It was a brilliant way to be fully absorbed into the Japanese culture.
