It was perfect for me to capture a sunset on the front deck. Everything you need is included in the bath and kitchen. We loved the jacuzzi tub. You can relax in it and see the lake through the windows. The beds were very comfortable. The tv didn't get very good reception, so we rented movies from Redbox. The internet was strong enough that the kids could play games on their laptops. We were there through the week so we were the only people there until check out time the last day and others started checking in. It was quiet and peaceful. I plan on visiting again soon.

Plenty of wild life (deer, geese and bugs) for the secluded location. There are no rental facilities or restaurants on property so be prepared to drive a bit. The cabin is full of quality stuff. Great weekend getaway cabin! First time spending a weekend here and had a very pleasant experience…read more The owner, Stacy was great to work with. She was easy to communicate with and responded quickly via text and phone calls. The Cabin was very clean and comfy. Everything seemed to be in working order (tv, electric fireplace, appliances...) The Bear Cabin has plenty of kitchenware for eating and meal prep. Basic bathroom essentials were also available. The other two cabins-Lighthouse and Fish are right next door and a mobile home community behind the property. Noise level was low between the nearby road and the mobile home community. Mostly just heard some music from the guests in the lighthouse cabin the first night (~40 ft away) but the noise was not super loud. Overall, it really was a good stay and I wouldn't mind staying here again if hiking brings us back to this area. I have the feeling Stacy has been burned by some irresponsible guests in the past based on conversations and another review seen on Yelp. My friend and I felt as thought she was pretty reasonable with her expectations though. Don't think you'd been disappointed staying here.

The kitchen was extremely tiny; only one person can walk through at a time. It was tricky to cook anything due to the lack of countertop prep space. The shower was not made for a tall person; if you are over 6' tall, good luck. The sliding door on one of the bedrooms would not shut. The cushion on the living room couch/futon kept sliding off. The cabins are right next to the road, and there were loud pickup trucks revving their engines at all hours. Overall, it felt like we were staying in a camper. It was a good price, and I'd rather have stayed here than a hotel. However, next time we visit Lake Texoma, we'll stay someplace larger and quieter.

It is showing signs of wear and tear for sure. I gave it only 3 stars because, frankly, it was so filthy we had to find a broom and raid and clean entrance while spraying all the wasp before we could even enter. Needs a great power wash for sure. If it were simply power washed on all outdoor spaces it would make a huge difference. Pros : great view, spacious, cold air unit, good water pressure, comfy beds, lots of good outdoor space, private ! Cons: filthy carpet, no toiletries, no kitchen ware, no paper goods, no dish soap, scant toilet paper, no trash bags, over priced, needs up keep to be special. No water access Advice: bring your own stuff. Housewares, toiletries etc.
