This place was hands-down the most fun we've EVER had at a haunted house, period. For those wondering just "how" scary is this place and just "how much" do they touch you, I'll give you my impressions. This place deserves major props/respect for how unbelievably professional everyone is! I never felt like I was grabbed in a 'mean' or 'hurtful' way. This isn't a "Saw" movie, drag-you-off-and-lock-you-in-a-freezer type place. Think more like a big brother messing around with a little brother. Yes, they'll grab you, pull you, push you, etc. but it's honestly done completely professionally. There's a fine line between grabbing someone to hurt them and just wanting to scare them, and every single actor/character here was absolutely well on the professional side of that line. Is it scary? Oh yeah! But it's not meant to be a hardcore, "mean" experience. There are other haunts out there that do act kinda "mean" as part of the fun, and Sweet Dreams does have mean-looking clowns, and chainsaws, and clowns with chainsaws, etc. ... but no one ever acted "mean". While still not really appropriate for ages 12 and under (13-14 is probably pushing it for many people), it's completely fine for any adult (and even for +15). There is a "PG-13" rated option where they don't touch you and even for those who get the "R" rated version (which comes with a glow-in-the-dark necklace to help them identify who they can grab and who they can't) you can still take your necklace off at any time if you feel it's too much for you. (my advise, try the "R" experience, it's likely the best Halloween decision you've made since you were 8). This place, with the added excitement of being grabbed, was honestly the absolute most fun we've ever had. And we weren't the only ones who thought this. While standing in the entrance line, two different groups of people came up to the ticket lady and said nearly the same thing as what I've written here. In fact, they may in fact be starting a new standard in haunted attractions and in a couple of years, an "R" rated experience may be the norm. What's EVEN better, in our opinion, is the very personal nature of the self-guided walk. The night we were there, they were letting groups as small as 2 go through - that means you don't have to be bunched together with 6-8 other people (like most attractions) and this adds 1000% more to the experience. you simply don't miss anything! It's all for you. The drawback is the wait can be kinda long, so try to get here before 9pm for a 30min wait, or come after 10pm and you might be faced with an hour wait (totally worth it though so bring a sweater and enjoy their awesome live DJ). Snacks, beverages, bathrooms all provided. The total time to go through is about 30min and we never saw one other customer inside the attraction the entire time - it was the 3 of us and the actors - that's it! We came out horse, out of breath, and sweating. Awesome, awesome fun! Totally worth the drive. Great job Sweet Dreams - you may have changed local standards forever!

The scares our awesome. I cannot say enough good about this place. If you want to go to one of the best Haunts out there you owe it to yourself to go to the haunted farm. A farm transformed into a long, immersive experience with detailed sets, impressive animatronics, and professional costumes and makeup. I was so impressed by the amount of details that went into the sets, costumes and props. As usual for an attraction like this, we waited in line for about an hour and a half. The actors took turns walking the lines and interacting with us. They also had a live band to entertain us as we waited. The experience itself lasted about 40 mins. Totally worth a visit!

We got lucky no one else in our walking group. Alot of stairs up before it starts. Intro room was fine, always like a talking skeleton. For being on the main road of gatlinburg and since was short line, gave it 3 stars but I can see how others gave it 2.

As I stood in line, I watched them walk past all the men and old women and go straight for the little girls and stroke their hair and put their hands on them. I understand that's the hands-on experience, but it's very weird when it's obviously only directed towards one group of people. Great Haunted House Fun!…read more This is a really great haunted house! We like it so much we drive 2 hours each way to go a few times in a night. We actually made it 7 times through the attraction last night! FYI: Get season passes you so you can go more than once AND enjoy the Christmas haunted house and other holiday haunted houses. I think it's 5-6 times a year! We opted for fast passes too since we like to go more than once! This crew does a really good job with some great actors putting in good effort and taking time outside for photo ops while you are waiting. Screw Hand: This "HOSTEL" movie style leather outfit with mask and screw arm found the right actor to wear it. He has a tattooed snake from arms across back. He is very interactive with everyone. Pickles: the scary guy with a shovel wins for creepiest creature outside in the lines he even has theatrical scary eyes and speaking shovel or shoes. He is pretty interactive stalking around and sneaking up to people in crowds. Carrot Fingers was cool outside walking around taking pictures. This creature stealthily roams the lines and doing photo ops. Pumpkin Girl: My son absolutely loves the pumpkin girl, she took the time to take multiple pictures with my son as he was so excited each time she came by. This creature really makes her rounds all over even at time dancing around. Outdoor Staff: everyone was great. People are friendly and fun. They really have a good crew of people who seem to be having fun. The Attorney: He is funny and gives you a funny intro liability waiver speech. Door Characters: Friendly and good story intros. They get you primed for your tour. Dr. Blinken: he is your entry point and does a great job being a mono toned robot like humanoid who brings you into the factory and decontaminates you. Red Eyes: He is one of the first characters. Red eyes and a hawk mask with a violin bow screeching on a metal thing. Girl in black on the bed with metallic ball fingers: She did a great job and our first time here she was the one who got me the best as I didn't see her at all until she burst out so fast. I laughed really good since I'm hard to scare! Good job! Caged Zombies: They are a cool section with 4-5 actors doing different noises and reaching through the bars. This was a favorite section for sure. NOT to miss mentioning the wild screaming girl right before who jumps out from behind a curtain. She is just before the zombies. That girl has a great scream! I don't know how she can do that great of a scream all night! I like the animatronics, the electrocuted man is a good one, zombie from the ceiling is also a good gotcha moment. The werewolves are cool, could be louder for a bigger fright but cool. The dollhouse pop out is a really good one. The pumpkin king is huge with a surprise animatronic also. The dragon is the scariest according to my son, he somehow thought it was real each time! There is a T-Rex style dinosaur too that's cool and surpassing! The sliding knees guy: this guy really gets you every time. He runs down the hall and slides on his knees when you turn the corner. That really takes some effort and a younger persons knees! The blonde cult leader girl: She was a cool and friendly section with funny comments. She was engaging and fun. The necromancer girl: She had a fun story and zombie she brings to life. She sends you on your way to be sacrificed. She was very interactive. The chainsaw guys: at the end are a great finale. We loved seeing how terrified people would get and cringe up as they searched for a way out of the foggy smoke. The insane asylum crazy person really does a realistic job. The bone sticking out of head guy: He got us good on one trip through. If I forgot to mention any others it's because I'm still tired and there is so much to remember! This is around a 30 minute tour or so. All in all a great job. It stinks some people made bad reviews about stuff that doesn't make sense. So I made a good review with real details. My hubby and I are into real paranormal so we love a good fun haunted house to get our scare on too. We got there about 7:35 and we didn't get in till 8:25 so it was a long, LONG wait outside in the cold. Especially because each group of 2 or 4 was 5 minutes apart. I'd suggest that they add some heaters next year. But it was so worth the wait. I think we were inside for over 20 minutes. The decorations were superb and the actors were great. For $20 a person we really had a great date night. We'll definitely be back next year. It was awesome.
