Renting this venue was the wost decision of my…read moreentire wedding planning and if I could only pick one thing to change it would be NOT PICKING BELLA VIE. 1. communication is horrible, no one knows whats going on there, staff is not in correlation with one another whats so ever 2. I rented the place for 150 guests but was told 2 months before my wedding when I sat down with one of the coordinators, that they could only seat 130 comfortably.... 2. They claim they are apart of the church and the renting of the venue supports their expenses HOWEVER I caught them lying about this multiple times and I have text proof of them attempting to change my chairs and back ground becuase they "belonged to the church which was completely seperate from the venue" but when I first toured the sales pitch was that the espenses help the church and mission expenses?? 3. Invoice issues, I have an accounting background and I kept noting that my invoices were increasing over time as if it was accumulating interest, then I noticed a "credit card fee" that kept fluxating and get this, it wasnt a third party charging the sketchy fee it was them manually editing the invoice. AND my payments were being made in cash so why was this fee on there in the first place? 4. They kept my deposit because they found a vape, and vaping is against their rules. When I asked for a picture they blocked me and then cashed my $1000 check. Oh and they tried using my wedding as content and they blocked me on social media as well LOL TRASH PEOPLE TO DO BUSINESS WITH. NOT TO MENTION THE CLEANLINESS OF THIS PLACE, TOILETS NOT WORKING, OVERGFLOWING TRASH CANS, SMALL PARKING LOT ( ANOTHER THING WE WERE LIED TO ABOUT, THEY TOLD US BY THE TIME WE HAD OUR WEDDING THE PARKING LOT WOULD BE EXTENDED, THAT WAS A LIE) THE HORRIBLE HVAC SYSTEM THEY HAVE, THE CLUELESS OWNER AND STAFF MEMBER THAT WAS LEFT AS A VENUE COORDINATOR COULD NOT EVEN PULL BACK BLINDS, SECURITY HAD TO HELP CAUSING ME TO GO DOWN THE ISLE AT THE WRONG TIME. I COULD GO ON AND ON. there are so many other kind, legit venues to go with in lubbock. I would recommend anywhere else!

We arrived on the day of the event for set up, where we were greeted by a worker who quickly ran through how to set up the air conditioning. She must have skipped instructions on the lights because tragically they wouldn't turn on in the foyer during our presentation and we were stuck in the dark. I tired multiple light switches before realizing the lights simply were broken and the chandeliers were NOT turning on. This left all my guests in the dark and I was not happy. Additionally, the table cloths were as wrinkly as crinkled paper with company to mix matched chairs. Super classy... Overall, I do not recommend this venue for anyone is trying to plan a special event and especially not for couples to be wed. I would hate for them to have to deal the unprofessionalism on their special day.

John could not have been more professional, accommodating and helpful as I described what I was looking for and he handled everything so wonderfully and graciously. Our reserved space was very spacious with the tables laid out and still room to walk around without bumping into others. We had a buffet setup in the hallway so attendees were also able to view the beautiful artwork displayed along the foyer. Very nice! John also made sure to check on us to ensure all was well. That was nice and I was able to relax without having to run around for last minute fixes. Our time here was worth every penny and I will make sure to reach out to this venue first and recommend others to book their events with John's help. You will not be disappointed.

I called the establishment and told whomever is in charge of it what I wrote above, and she offered no apology, challenged my report, and was incredibly defensive. My husband had to take out his large pocketknife to cut his meat. Other men saw him do that and also got out their pocketknives. The food was otherwise ok, but for an event that large, lining up in different lines for the main dishes, then desserts, then teas was not efficient. We attended a second large event catered by them and while the beef was tender, the chicken was stringy and so dry, it was also very hard to cut and chew. It was definitely overcooked. The vegetables were very good, but there was too little food and the tea was not in the table. It would have been do much better to have pitchers in the tables. Instead, guests had to continually go to the side tables, then carry glasses of tea through the crowds. Overall, it was not a great experience, especially when we had better food and experiences from other caterers in Lubbock.
