Hearing Sweet Home Alabama all the way across the pond in merry old England made my day. This is the pub that introduced me to non-alcoholic Guinness which is now my favorite N/A beer. Aside from the cheesy deliciousness, everything about our visit to Crumplehorn Inn was pleasant. The manager that sat down with us to tell us about the history of the building, the impressive vegetarian menu and just the general ambience of the place. We chose to eat here for two reasons: 1 - the menus are written outside on chalkboards near the road. That way you can see what's being served without going in to ask for a menu. This is very good for us because as vegetarians, we've had to leave restaurants before if they don't have veggie options. 2 - it was one of the few places open. Just a friendly tip--don't go on holiday in November. Everything is frickin' shut. A lesson we learned the hard way! Anyhow, the Crumplehorn had it's doors open and we were lucky to have gone in. This place was one of the highlights of our Cornwall holiday. A must if you're visiting Polperro or Looe.
