I made an afternoon appointment and arrived 15 minutes early. When I checked in, I was told by an older, round-around-the-middle employee (Sal?) that they "didn't have time" to do the alignment on my vehicle. I was frustrated -- I had just driven 25 miles (about 30 minutes) specifically for this appointment. If a scheduled service can't be honored, customers should be notified before they make the trip. What made it worse was the complete lack of concern or effort to help resolve the situation. I walked out fully intending to call corporate and leave a negative review -- but then something changed. Another employee, Brandon Pascacio, noticed what happened and literally came after me in the parking lot to ask how he could help. I explained that I simply needed the alignment I had scheduled. Brandon asked me to come back inside and assured me they would take care of it. Because of Brandon's professionalism and customer service, Wheel Works ended up earning nearly $1,000 in business from me, including an alignment-for-life package, new tires, and additional repairs. He completely turned the experience around and is the reason this review isn't one star. From my understanding, the employee who initially turned me away was the manager or acting manager. If that's the case, Wheel Works seriously needs to reevaluate who is leading this location. Poor customer service and dismissive attitudes are exactly why businesses lose customers and damage their reputation. Brandon, on the other hand, is the kind of employee who builds loyalty and keeps customers coming back. The only reason this review is four stars instead of one or two is because Brandon stepped in and completely changed the experience. One lie after another - a complete nightmare Last Friday, April 3, in the afternoon, I bumped into a curb and two of my tires started losing pressure. Luckily, Wheel Works was very close by. I ended up changing three tires based on the sales manager's suggestion. I thought that was the end of it, but little did I know it was just the beginning of a nightmare. Right after they said it was fixed, I noticed that whenever my speed reached 30 mph, the car would start shivering and making strange noises. It got even worse on the highway. On Saturday, April 4, I went back to Wheel Works. After some waiting, they told me it was an issue with the wheel weights and that they had fixed it. I drove away - but the same problem persisted. A few days later, on Tuesday, April 7, I returned again. The sales manager test drove the car with me and assured me the issue was that I hadn't changed the fourth tire. His exact words: "I won't charge you if we change the last tire and this turns out not to be the issue." After some waiting, they told me the new tire made things "much better" but didn't completely solve the problem. They said they suspected a suspension issue but didn't have time to look into it that day, and asked me to come back another day. I drove away and realized they had lied - the issue was exactly the same. On Wednesday, April 8, I went to the store again. The sales manager wasn't there, but the store manager was. He told me it was a transmission issue, but refused to refund me for the 4th tire as promised. On Thursday, April 9, I returned again and met with the sales manager. He started playing word games, claiming that "not charge you" is not the same as "refund you," and told me he didn't have the authority to issue a refund. So here I am - facing one lie after another. It's been a huge waste of my time and energy, and now I have to take my car somewhere else to get it properly fixed. I want the overcharged amount of around $300 back. I plan to contact the Bureau of Automotive Repair and will provide recorded evidence if needed. I will keep this post updated until I get my money back. I dropped in at 3 pm on a Sunday after noticing a slow leak in the rear driver's side tire. They were able to take me in and estimated 60-90 minutes for the fix. I waited, because I wanted peace of mind before my commute took me over the bridge on Monday. It took a bit less time than they estimated, and the most surprising part? No charge! I was pleasantly surprised, and hopefully won't need to be back for a while, since my tires (and car) are still pretty new, but if something else happens, I appreciate how close and helpful they were. read more

Relative had a flat time going through the toll booth on the bay bridge. She believed someone slash her tires. Marwin who helped me noticed the tires had bubbles and cracks on the bad tire. He indicated other tires had cracks too. One of the tires didnt even have the year. I can't tell with my eyes, but I do feel bubbles. It's not good to drive with bad tires so on the side of caution, spent money on all 4 tires and wheel alignment to be safe. The car was promised in two hours and indeed ready. Efficient. As an established customer, I took my new (used) car in due to a slow leak in one of the tires. They were pretty backed up and estimated that it would be 1 - 2 hours before they could get to it. An hour later they called me and let me know that the tire was fixed. Much to my surprise (and delight), when I picked up the car, the service fee was $0.00! Both of my vehicles and my husbands have been to this shop, and I've had mixed experiences overall. That said, Micheal the advisor is an absolute gem! His customer service is phenomenal, he's personable, professional, and the first person at this front desk who really made me feel taken care of. I came in for a simple oil change on my Honda, and shortly after leaving, my tire light came on. I called right away, and without hesitation, Micheal told me to come back in. Thankfully, it was just a valve stem issue, which they quickly addressed, and I was back on the road in 15 minutes I also want to give credit to another mechanic for a seperate occassion, I regret not remembering his name, but he was a senior mechanic who previously worked on my truck. He was incredibly thorough and persistent, troubleshooting issues other shops gave up on. Ignoring an advisor when they said he was taking too long on my vehicle right in front of me though I had an appointment. I was even told to take it to the dealership prior, but this mechanic stuck with it, replaced all my TPMS sensors, and solved the issue perfectly. Their online scheduling is super convenient, which makes getting an appointment really easy. Since I have a regular mechanic, I can't speak much to their repair recommendations, but they've been great at squeezing me in when I've needed something quickly or last minute. My experiences here have been a bit mixed overall, which is why I'm holding back from giving a full five stars, but there are definitely standout team members who go above and beyond! read more

We went to this place a while ago to replace our front tire, the guy in the front is very nice and friendly and no complain about it. When the car is finished and gave us the key, we saw some rubber hanging on the side of our car (tesla) there is no rubber hanging there when we brought the car there we are just scared because it's closely to the battery of the car, the guy in the front desk called the one who changed the tire and he said it's been there. And they laughed at us and he told him what happened to the other workers too and they laughed at us very loud. I mean it's okay if it didn't happen there but laughing at us like that is not cool. read more

Needed 2 back tires for my BMW. Thought it would be an easy quick replacement but ran into to an issue with a stripped extended wheel lug bolt. Saul and team did not give up. They were able to put back 4 of the 5 bolts to get my car drivable. It was awesome to see them take time to fix my issue although it took several hours out of their day. I've been a loyal customer of Wheel Works in Belmont for over 10 years, but after my recent experience, I will never return -- and I strongly urge others to think twice before trusting this location with their vehicle. I brought my car in at 11 AM with a nail in the tire. The tire still held air, the car was fully drivable, and I only needed a simple repair. They told me I could pick it up by 6 PM -- a long wait, but I agreed. At 4 PM, I got a call saying the tire couldn't be repaired due to sidewall damage. Suspicious, I immediately went over to inspect it myself. To my shock, the car had been moved from where I parked it. It became clear that Wheel Works let the tire deflate and then drove the car in their lot, likely causing the very damage they later blamed as the reason they couldn't fix it. When confronted, they took absolutely no responsibility for their actions. This is negligence, plain and simple. I then offered a practical solution: install a perfectly good spare I had at home. They refused, citing a ridiculous company policy that they can only install new tires ordered through them -- which, by the way, would take days to arrive. I asked them to simply mount the donut spare that was already in the car, and they had the audacity to try to charge me $60 for that basic service. The final straw? Manager Marvin Roque. Rude, dismissive, and completely devoid of any empathy or customer service skills. It was like talking to someone who had zero training and even less interest in doing the right thing. In the end, I had to call AAA, who thankfully stepped in and quickly installed the spare so I could get the car out of Wheel Works. I am genuinely saddened by how far this location has fallen. If anyone from Wheel Works corporate actually monitors reviews, I urge you to take a close look at the current staff at your Belmont location. They are clearly untrained, unaccountable, and customer-hostile -- a combination that's toxic to your brand. For everyone else considering this shop: stay far away. What should have been a routine fix turned into a drawn-out headache, complete with damage, denial, and disgraceful service. A true disappointment from a place I once trusted. read more

Visited Wheel Works on 2 separate occasions and both visits were exceptional! Saul was extremely helpful both over the phone and in person! During the phone call he knew exactly what I needed and recommended the perfect choice! I was on my way to wheel works, and out in a breeze! My first visit was to replace my rear tires which were run flat tires, one had a nail in it and both were really bad tread. Saul recommended I change out the fronts as well as they were already cracking too. Unfortunate for me, within a couple days of replacing my rear tires I hit a pothole and the front tire was ripped open. Thankfully Saul was just a phone call away and same day I was able to bring my car in again to replace the front tires too! When they hadn't even started on my car, at 1hr 45min, they said it would likely be another 2 hours. What a waste of time. I left and went to Costco, got it done for only $256.85 ... a savings of $187.66. Don't waste your time, just go to Costco. read more

Had an alignment done 2/17/25 that comes with a 12 month warranty, now on April 19th hear a noise pulling out my drive way. So I park it and jack it up and move my wheel and see my arm bolt that mounts to the frame is loose. So I call them to see how to solve this problem they told me to bring it by. I told them I would have to tow which cost me money for the tow. That they would look at it but they highly doubt it's from their work. That they just tighten a bolt for an alignment. Took an appointment for 8am on 12/29/23 for Wheels Alignment for my 2018 Tesla Model 3, the online pricing was $129. At check-in, the employee said that online pricing is incorrect, Tesla is more complicated, and it will be $410 for wheel alignment. He tried to convince me its a big job, at least 2-hours, I almost fell for it, but decided to walk away. Got my work done down the road at Big-O-Tires for $149. I can share the employee name, such rogue employees make customers go away to never return. Terrible! read more

This review pertains to the Belmont, CA location. They tried to upsell me for four new tires several different times. I only needed 2 new tires. On the first inspection I was told that my back tires were cracking and needed replacing. This was not the case at all. The back tires were perfectly fine. The day after I had my two front tires put on by them my tire pressure light came on. When I called them to inquire why this would be happening they asked me whether I'd checked the pressure! I guess it's not reasonable to think that they would've checked the pressure prior to giving me my car back? Ladies guard your wallets. I would never use this business again. read more

This Wheel Works team at the Belmont location saved my Sunday! I ran errands Sunday morning with no issues. Fast forward to the afternoon and while driving my teenagers to Hillsdale Mall, I could sense something was off with my car by the noise it was making. Got out and found a silver color nail/screw head in the back driver's side tire. Checked the dashboard tire pressure and the sensor was showing low pressure. Searched Yelp for a tire place that was nearby AND open on a Sunday and found Wheel Works in Belmont. The whole process took about 1.5 hr and they were able to plug the tire. Picked up the teenagers and drove home and so far so good with the tire repair. Thanks fellas! read more

Have had two "sudden loss of tire pressure" incoming Deutsche messages from my dashboard lately, and one five inch screw hanging out of my tire and whacking the wheel (no message but plenty of racket). That's always the way, right? Nothing for decades then monthly tire emergencies. These folks are within a couple of miles of my house. All three times I drove straight to them and they fit me in within an hour or two. Fixed my tire problems very reasonably. The front desk guy is young, good-looking (not a requisite, but it helps) and funny, a pleasure to work with. And I'm always grateful for his "can do" attitude followed by a phone call to let me know the car is ready. I'm only giving them 3 stars because they got the job done, but I highly recommend going elsewhere if you have any wheels other than steel. Here are some things to be aware of when taking your car to this Wheel Works location for tires. You can tell they work by the hour, everyone from the manager/lead to the service techs have no sense of urgency and there's limited communication between staff and customer. When it comes to replacing tires, I found the following...good and bad. Bad: I watched them use a pry bar on my vintage wheels, luckily, it appears no damage was done. They are very slow...even with an appointment. Good: They did torque the wheels to manufactures specs, they did double check tire pressures were correct and they didn't lose any specialized parts. The manager/lead was honest with a customer who wanted them to perform incorrect services...he informed her they couldn't do the job incorrectly/halfway. This wheel works location is fine for steel wheels and those not caring about efficiency or communication. Lastly, it shouldn't take 1.5 hours to remove, replace and balance four tires and more precautions should be taken with specialized wheels. read more

I came in last weekend due to a huge nail lodged into my back tire. As this happened on a late Saturday afternoon, no one was able to fix it within the hour. I came back on Sunday morning and my car was done within a couple hours (I live close by so I was able to get a ride home). The front desk guys were very helpful and recommended I come back to get my alignment fixed. Friday night, I dropped my car off to get my alignment fixed and it was done by 9a on Saturday.
