This is a nice little pub, but nothing special.
It is easy to find - it's situated just off the bypass.
The pub is an eating place, rather than a boozy pub, but it's not particularly family friendly. The food is of a good quality, but it's not particularly cheap.
The pub has an open fire in the winter - but it does get very busy, and the fireplace is the most popular area, so don't expect to be able to get near if you're not there early!!
There are some garden benches, but they are next to the bypass, so unless you're really desperate to sit outside, you probably wouldn't here.
The staff are pleasant enough, but not overly friendly, and there are usually only two bar staff, who also take the food orders, so you should prepare yourself for a wait if it is even moderately busy at the bar.
The pub has a car park - and is on the footpath from Barnwood - Longlevens.
It's nice, but it's nothing special, and not really worth a special journey. read more
