The place was busy as it was the jazz/fringe festival weekend so the clientelle was of all ages (a bit annoying having babies/kids screaming thoughout the meal) including elderly who came in through the fire door for easy access. The service was great, just grab your drinks sit down at a table, peruse the really good menu and then order at the till. The food came out cooked freshly and was great, goats cheese on a portabello mushroom is very tasty (ask for the chutney on the side not over it). A rump steak cooked to perfection with all the trimmings and a beer and ale pie for my wife with vegetables went down very well. The finale was the 'pudding table' with 3 puddings, 1 x vanilla ice-cream, 1 x mint ice-cream and a bit of cream is especially for sharing but, would have shared four really good idea and portions were quite big considering.
