Very cosy half-timbered old place. Got some good lunch food, and a wheat beer. We sat by the long…read morepillowed seat near the bar. Interesting interior. At 1:30 pm not too busy. Ordered the veg. Lasagna with chips and salad. Menu appeared to have about 10 nice items on it. Food was hot and good. Beer cool and good. With tips, paid £45 for three people. Interior well decorated with micro-brewery paraphenalia, and books - bar had some 7 or 8 taps. And a black bear. Spitfire picture on the wall v.g. Bowl of water on floor indicates dog-friendly place. Staff friendly and quick. Gents down along the bar, clean and tidy. Funny pictures on the walls. An altogether nice place.
