I've been going here for a few years. They are good about taking insurance, don't over treat you to get money from insurance and are pretty friendly. No major complaints. Sometimes there is a bit of a wait for appointments but that's every dentist and doctor I've been to. read more

New patient, first impression. I made an appointment for this morning, 10am, weeks ago. Wheaton Mall Dental called yesterday while I was at work, no message. This morning I'm trying to find the office so I call for some help, it rings for about 10 minutes with no answer. I call another 3 times, worrying I'll be late, no answer or even answering machine. I finally find the place at 9:59 and the gate is closed, lights off, no sign. Hours online say 9am-9pm and my appointment is for 10am. I have been misled and my time has been wasted. I will not be rescheduling and I sure as shit am not paying anything they dare to send me in the mail for "missing an appointment." Edit: I waited outside the office for another 10 minutes just in case. Nothing. Finally someone showed up, opened the gate, told me they open at 10am (still late and doesn't match the Info online) and asked if I got a message. I told her I missed a call but they didn't leave any message. Then she told me that someone had left a note at the desk that they had called me to reschedule and left a message (which they did not) because a doctor had left the practice. I have not been to the dentist in over 1 year, the last one told me the medical place dropped them [she turned her head & cried], why do places seem not to want me? Absolute worst dentist on the planet! Under no circumstance should you consider going here, unless you are ok with unresponsiveness and poor service. Allow me to explain... I relocated to the area a few months ago and decided to find a dentist that was more conveniently situated to my new place. This office was in walking distance and they had hours that were convenient with mine, so I figured I would give them a try. I have a certain type of dental insurance where you have to be added to a roster and can only make changes to your provider during a certain time frame of the month, so I switched and scheduled a new patient appointment for November 9th at 3:30. I arrived on time and was greeted by the receptionist and asked to fill out paperwork. I filled out the paper work and waited to be called back. After waiting for close to an hour I was called back for x-rays. After the x-rays I waited an additional 30 minutes before I was seen by a Dr. Parks. My initial impression of Dr. Parks' was that she was rather haste, flat and impersonal, but I figured she probably had a long day and since I wasn't there to make friends I didn't take it to personal. It was determined that I had an infection in my gums caused by a deep cavity and that I needed to be treated with antibiotics. However Dr. Parks refused to write the prescription for the antibiotic until I had a clearance from my Neurologist for an ongoing illness that I documented in my new patient paper work. Now I immediately thought that her refusal was over the top, considering I have been to countless dentists over the years and not a one has had an issue with prescribing me an antibiotic, and they all had been completely aware of my illness! I have no allergies to penicillin and getting rid of the infection was a paramount concern of mine, since the illness that I have can be flared by other infections. Since I didn't have the ability to switch dentist quickly and I wanted to start the antibiotic promptly, I obliged her ridiculous request and had the receptionist forward the release to medical records. Fast forward to today, 21 days after I was seen and numerous phone calls to the dentist office inquiring about the prescription, it was discovered that the forms somehow never made their way to medical records (I honestly don't believe the dentist office sent them!). I made my Neurologist aware of what was going on and she immediately wrote an email explaining that she had zero issues with me being placed on the antibiotic and that I need to be treated ASAP! I sent this to Dr. Parks and she still refused to treat me because it wasn't on the original form (that her office never sent!). Ridiculous! So here I am 21 days out from being diagnosed with a gum infection, in pain and not being treated for it. Antibiotics are routine and Dr. Parks could have easily called a pharmacist to make sure that the prescription that I take for my illness would not have an adverse interaction with the antibiotic that she was going to prescribe. Instead she thought it best to let an infection fester, even after my Neurologist said it was ok to treat! I hands down advise you to stay away from this place! Plenty more caring and qualified dentist in the area. I am promptly switching dentist today. read more

This is like the Jiffy Lube of dentistry, except they don't actually look under the hood. No one ever introduced themselves to us. In and out with barely a polish, no follow up with us the parents on the kids teeth, and they have some potential issues that our previous dentist in Southern Cal found. Pathetic. I thought about going back in 6 months for a check up before we move again, but this isn't even worth that. Another strike... Inconsistent answering service. I've got little kids and I hate not having a dentist on call for emergencies. They say they do have a service but I just called and after 20 rings there was no pick up. This is the WORST experience I have ever had at a dentist. The women at the front were alight, but it stopped there. Dr. Camp came in and didn't introduce her self at all, I never even saw her face. She told me I had two cavities and that I needed and a deep cleaning. I asked to see the cavities, she huffed and puffed at my request and walked out of the room and then the assistant showed me. She came back to do the deep cleaning and I asked her details about the cleaning process and what was going to happen. In the MOST unprofessional way she said that I should go somewhere else if I didn't want to hear what she had to say. I got up right away, asked for my money back and left! I requested to speak to her face to face and she refused to come out and talk to me. SO unprofessional on so many levels. I will never be going back there and I advise that on one else does! read more

Ok so I go for a routine exam and cleaning. The dental assistant seemed to be OK and she took my x-rays without a problem. Then the dentist comes in and begins with the procedure... She checked my teeth and then went straight to polishing them. She didn't even floss my teeth or use any of the scalers... they then told me I had small cavities and the dental assistant proceeded to place a hand-piece and bur on the tray (WITHOUT GLOVES). Thats when I decided not to have them done. Oh and the chair was angled in such a way that I could feel all the blood rushing to my head.
