Ordered our food. Looks like they had a large order put it before we came because the drink station was full of cups with employees filling them. Waited for our order for at least ten minutes. Everyone that ordered before and after us got their food, but ours didnt come. I went to the counter to inquire about my order. Took talking to two employees to get our food. After eating we decided to try the banana pudding shake...I stood at the counter for a few minutes with several employees just passing by. The team leader walked up to the manager asking if I ever got my food--so the manager comes over to speak to me and I tell him I want to make another order. I had the money in my hand, not sure why the lady couldn't have just spoke to me. The shakes came out quickly. The food was okay...but the service at this location was less than satisfactory. There are other Whataburgers around--so...this one might not be my first choice. read more

I live near an In-and-Out Burger, one of the best burgers in the USA, so when I go with my friend to Whataburger I just have coffee. Have tried a few things over the last few years, but as a diabetic I'm picky about what I put in my body, there's nothing here worth eating. I only go on occasion to be with my friend, but its not a place I will go on my own. Not a Texan and not a fan. read more

Haven't received food yet, so this is just for service. Don't know whether it is ALL their employees, or if I was just lycky enough to get Destiny. Destiny is not courteous and lacking in customer service skills like no other I have encountered. She summoned me from the table as I waited for my food order to come to counter and pick up 2 milkshakes I ordered. I walked up and asked for a drink holder since I already had a large drink and was going to be carrying food. She told me to wait, that she was going to take order first. She took order, then walked to the back. She returned a short time later looked at me waiting by register area and proceeded to wait on another customer. Went and got his food, then looked at me again and started helping another customer. Again, don't know if it is all rmployees, but just in case it is not.. avoid Destiny of possible. Added: after receiving my order which included an onion ring an 2 large fries,I noticed no ketchup in the bag. I walked back to the counter and asked for Ketchup. She reached under the counter and pulled out a tray that contained 4 spicy ketchup packages, set it on the counter away from me and said, "That's all we have." This is perhaps the best WhatABurger location of the many I've been to. The facilities look new, are clean and obviously well maintained. The employees seem happy, pleasant, friendly, and well trained. Tonight they certainly did the Dobson Family (founders/owners) proud. When I came I immediately noticed the clean and pleasant facilities. As I walked up to the counter and I was greeted and promptly attended. I was asked if I wanted to add anything to my order (a simple number one meal). I declined, but then I was told something I have never been told before: that if I got the app for my phone and used it when I frequented WhatABurger stores that I could earn points and get free goodies!). Perhaps this is something new, but as much as I go to WhatABurger restaurants, this is the first time I have ever heard about the program. My meal was made fresh and delivered promptly to my table with a smile. WhatABurger is one of the things that's right about Texas, and this location does its part to keep the bar of excellence high. As standard, I was offered extra napkins, ketchup, salt and pepper, etc. when my meal was delivered. One of the employees , Leonardo, actually stopped three times at my table during my stay to make sure everything was satisfactory (it's not like he knew I was a Yelper and was trying to make a good impression.). I will note that I arrived here after 10 PM, and there were a few customers in the restaurant, so they have more time to attend to those of us who were there. Before I left I checked out the restrooms. They were in good order. This is, of course, a fast food restaurant. So it's not where I would take my wife for a romantic date night, but if you need a quick hot meal and would enjoy a delicious burger this is your place. read more

I have been a Whataburger customer for over 50 years. A few days ago my wife placed a phone order at the Whataburger in Mercedes, Texas. I had earlier visited this fast food restaurant about a week and half before. At this time this restaurant had a Internet and phone order parking space in its parking lot and the regular drive thru window because of the COVID 19 pandemic. When I went to pick up my phone order, the employee asked me if the order was an Internet order. I stated no instead it was a phone order. With a hostile and sarcastic tone in her voice, she stated that I had to get in line in the drive thru which had a very long line. I told her to forget my order and went to its competitor burger point and got my burgers there. This the last time I will ever do business with this burger change. This is a great place to go when you're recovering after a night of heavy drinking. Not the best place to actually get an order because something is always either missing or just wrong. read more
