I had a very disappointing experience at the drive-thru this evening around 6 p.m. I pulled up and was told to wait, but no one took my order for at least 5-6 minutes. When my order was finally taken (just a milkshake and a cinnamon roll), I was told to pull to the window. I waited there another 5+ minutes while cars lined up behind me. I could see my milkshake being made, but then the employee just walked away, and no one brought it out. At that point I drove off without ever receiving my order. The whole experience left me feeling ignored and frustrated. I don't know if I was singled out for some reason or if this is how they treat all customers, but either way it didn't feel right. Management should know the 6 p.m. shift is not being run well, and I would not recommend this location until the service improves. read more

The service here was very friendly. We stopped for lunch and ordered 2 meals. We had an on line coupon that we couldn't get to take. The manager was very helpful to get that applied. The burgers were just ok for Whataburger we are used to and the fries weren't very hot. More like sitting in bin. They get cold so fast anyway. Maybe is just this location(Lancaster by the Walmart ), but is whataburger considered fast food ?????? There's nothing fast about this location. The line can be empty, short or long , and you're still going to wait a ridiculously long time. It's always a younger crowd working , which doesn't and shouldn't have to be an issue , however the staff seemed to be more interested and concerned with their personal conversations and playing around than getting orders out fast and correctly. An absolutely stupendous location! I had the pleasure of interacting with Rya during my visit and it truly made my day. Even though she was new, she treated me with a quality of service that I wouldn't even expect from a Michelin Star restaurant. She truly is a gem and in my humble opinion deserves a raise. She was accommodating to me as I struggled to craft an order which aligned with my diet. I walked out of the restaurant with the sweet taste of some damn good fries and a full belly, feeling happier and healthier than when I walked in. I surely hope that Rya sticks around, because I will be visiting this location frequently solely for the purpose of seeing her beautiful face and hearing and lovely laugh. Bro...where do I begin? It never fails, it takes FOREVER for them to make your order. When you get your order it's cold. The workers sit around like it's social hour. Oder online they don't start making your order until you get there and get an attitude with the customer when they are on a time crunch. This is THE ONLY location that has this issue in the area. I came early in the morning on account of I was getting an oil change at Walmart and I love Whataburger. While I was waiting for about 20 minutes in my meal there were people in the lobby waiting and coming in from outside bringing their order back for mistakes. I literally counted 5 mistakes with different peoples orders. Also there were not only dead bugs laying everywhere flies flying around dead gnats and bugs on the window seals. Not to mention trying to select a clean table was a task. I found this hard to believe with there being roughly 6-7 employees working at the time. This photo alone shows 3 dead bugs laying in the lobby on the floor. I would have left however this is the only food place in walking distance. No receipt given. I work nearby and have been eating my lunch here fairly regularly for the past 4 years. Today was the first time I have ever had a problem with my order (mix up, wrong sandwich) and it was resolved within about 15 seconds. Walked Inside & tried to order to go, the cashier who took my order was a young girl named "Taylor" she was EXTREMELY unprofessional. She kept laughing with another friend who was also on the clock. I could barely get my order in. I continued to ask what was on one of the burgers on the menu & the girl responded with "veggies & allat". I don't understand how one can work at whataburger & not know what is on their menu items. This location seems to not have any MATURE adults working the night shift. Rudest drive thru experience I have ever had! How can people be so rude through a speaker?!? I was trying to order a Whataburger jr. for my son. I told the lady I wanted a plain one with meat and cheese only. She then proceeded to tell me, "so you want mustard", and I told her, "no", that I wanted it plain, Just meat and cheese. She rudely gave me a lecture in the most unprofessional tone about how they have plain and dry! She sounded so trashy and rude. I was appalled. I left and didn't place order for fear of someone tainting my son's food. Forgive me, but I rarely eat at Whataburger, and I didn't know that "their" plain definition was different than any other burger places definition. She seriously lacked customer service skills. This is one of my favorite places to go eat out. I usually don't have any problems here. But tonight something interesting happened. I went up to the counter to place my order, and the manager was there in the front. I thought he was going to take my order immediately, but he said it was going to be "a few minutes." He goes to the back and disappears. 20 minutes later I'm still waiting for someone to take my order. I'm usually a very patient person, but even this was pushing it. Finally, one of the employees in the back came to the front and took my order. After finding out that no one was helping me after almost half an hour of waiting, he gave me a free meal, on the house. I ended up getting a patty melt meal, and it was well worth the wait. I was very disappointed that the manager was the least productive team member that night. He seemed like he didn't know what he was doing. He was poorly trained and not prepared to handle the responsibilities of being a manager. But I applaud the efforts of the employees, because they took charge of the problem. The manager gets one star, while the rest of the employees get five stars. So it averages out to three stars. I must have come on a bad day.. the place was super dirty food on the floor all the tables were dirty! Trash overfilled falling on the floor no lids or ice. I asked a team member for a lid for my daughter and she rolled her eyes and came 10 mins later with the lids. We had been out shopping and were super hungry so we still stayed, worst decision ever!
