The sides and appetizers made up for anything lacking in my book. But probably as important as great tasting food, the entire staff was as nice and helpful as they could be. The restaurant is small and not at all fancy but the place exudes with pride of ownership and a desire to please their customers. Though the service was great and we were treated with the nicest of gestures, the food itself took too long. Inside, there was only 1 other family when we arrived. Our waiter arrived, took our drinks, then after he brought them, we all placed the orders. The family before us was already eating. It took close to an hour for our food to come out. Two family members ordered coffee. I ordered some too, but it was decaf. At around the 30 minute mark for waiting for our food, a young kid came out offering coffee refills. He filled my mom and sisters coffee and tried to fill mine up too. I asked him if he had with him the decaf for regular coffee and he said, "Yes." Then he left and didn't refill my decaf coffee. More and more customers started arriving and it seemed as if they were understaffed. I would have taken away another star but to be honest, the food was good. The presentation of all plates were great too. However, the tortillas we were given were already cold. I tried to flag down a waiter to ask for warmer tortillas or flour tortillas, but we couldn't see anyone in the lobby. By the time someone came, all of us on our table had finished our meals and we didn't need tortillas anymore. I would love to go again and have a better experience. I had no trouble using the coupon and they didn't question me as to where I got it. I asked if I could modify my order by value-sizing it and if I could just pa the difference. I was allowed to do that. The coupon was for a 1/4 lb burger with medium fries and medium drink. I upgraded my fries and drink. I also added bacon and cheese to my order. The server told me in advanced that doing that would be extra and asked if I was ok with that. I expected to pay extra, so I was fine. This being a drive-thru main experience, the order was placed and in less than five minutes, I was ready to go with a great tasting burger. Great experience overall.
