Nice location, spacious and clean. Juan was busy at the register but, he was ready to take my order as soon as he was done. It's freezing in there and they don't have ketchup or napkins at the condiment station? My Fries were kind of stale w no salt and my oversized Cookie but was not so fresh. So, I got stale fries and a stale cookie and I was charged the wrong price for my order. I wanted to say something but, Juan was busy and my cousin was waiting for me and didn't want to keep her waiting. I am forever loyal to Whataburger, but this is hands down the worst location I have ever visited. No matter when we come, something is always wrong with the order, and the drive-thru wait times are absolutely insane. We've literally started budgeting 15-20 minutes minimum every single visit because it's that consistently slow. I understand places get busy and younger employees are learning, but the combination of painfully slow service and constant order mistakes makes this location incredibly frustrating. It's the slowest worst Whataburger in the history of Whataburger. Not once but twice I preordered food curbside and both times sat outside for over half an hour past the pick-up time. We went to this restaurant during a baseball tournament on 10/27/2024. I wanted a custom sandwich (basically a bacon blaze burger with chicken instead of beef, for medical reasons). They weren't too busy, but could have easily said "no, that's not on the menu" and I would have been ok with that. The cashier (and the manager?) worked through how to put the order together so that I could get the sandwich I wanted (it was the best sandwich I've had in a while too!). I am 63 years old and have been eating Whataburger my whole life. As a matter of fact my first job was at Whataburger. Do not waste your time and money at the McPhearson location. They have the worst food and customer service in the DFW metroplex. I drove up there last night to get dinner for my wife and I and brought it back home only to find it was all wrong, cold and greasy as hell. Last time I got a to go order from there the same thing happened and I took it back and exchanged the food. Last night we were both tired so I threw mine in the trash and that's exactly what this location is, TRASH! Got in the outside lane and the first lane cleared out (about 6 cars) and five cars still sitting there, and I'm the third car back, and with the first lane clear they still haven't taken my money. The food has always been good if they get the order right. I ordered food for two people tonight, the cashier even repeated my order back to me and told him that was correct. I know I should have opened it up to check it but even if it was wrong I would have had to wait on it to be fixed to the correct order. I brought it home and found out that both of our orders were wrong. My wife had to heat up her fries because they were barely warm. What really aggravates me is that while I was there fixing my drinks I was looking over the opening in the wall and could see one of the employees scrolling through his phone. Why do these places let the kids have access to their phones when they should be working? This kid wasn't talking or texting anyone he was just looking through his phone. My wife and I walked in behind a group of 7-8 unsupervised teenagers on a mission to see who could make the most noise...as soon as we heard them we decided to make our order to go, but that was no help because the order we placed at 4:19 took until 4:38 to come out, and by then the kids (who ordered zero food but took over the dining room) were walking out just ahead of us.
