As a lifelong Whataburger fan, I was disappointed with my drive thru order at this Whataburger location. I'm driving across Texas and a tradition is to stop at a Whataburger to grab one last order before I leave Texas. This location is nicely located off I 45, meaning you don't have to drive around a whole town to find what you want when you're traveling. I ordered two (#4, jalapeno & cheese) and a (#1) Whataburger with everything meals, plus a side of country gravy. There wasn't a long line in the drive thru (5-7 vehicles), yet the third Dr. Pepper and country gravy were missing from the order. Being that I had spent all day driving, the last thing I was worried about was two missing items. Came here around 12:30 at night, and although there was only one man working the front he had GREAT customer service . About 8-9 people all came in at once ( including my rambunctious friends ) and this man did an awesome job of taking orders fast and getting all the meals right ! Totally wish I got this kind of service at my local whata!! And for the food , amazing as always. Honey barbecue chicken biscuit subbed with honey butter and a large fry. My guilty pleasure . Purrty Good. I'm from Texas and live in Texas, and Whataburger is a Texas as I am. I saw a question in Google that said "Is Whataburger better than McDonalds?" and I nearly lost my mind. You can not, should not, better not be comparing Whataburger with McD's. Nope. No Way. Walking into any Whataburger is like walking into a time/space warp. Their consistency is 99.99% perfect. Walking into one is like walking into any of them. And that is impressive. Their quality is "delicious". Can you compare them with In-and-Out? Yes. Are they similar? No. (Well, only as far as that they both serve burgers. ) But they are unique in their burger preparation and presentation. The Whataburger is flatter and more filing due to the larger bun and the abundance of onions that grace their wide burger. Their fries are more generous too. What I like about Whataburger is their quality and consistency and that they're Texan. :) What I don't like about Whataburger is their greasy floors. Every time I enter one of them, my shoes seem to slip and slide over their tile. Hmmmm, Not good. (It costs them a STAR.) But this particular site is Purrrty Good. read more

For all my Dallas to Houston, and vice versa, drivers, this whataburger is really easy to access off the highway driving north to Dallas. The drive through lane at mid day on Saturday was wild but there was hardly any wait inside. Park it, stretch those legs, and get back on the road faster. The staff were Texas kind. You know, nice, but like extra nice. We didn't wait long at all and they still apologized for the wait. Very pleasant experience with the employees. Bathrooms were decent. Not like Buccees level but also not random gross gas station. Fun side story: some guy was asking the staff for graham crackers. He was completely convinced they were owed graham crackers with whatever they'd ordered. The cashier was completely confused, called the manager over, and they had the exact same expression. Not sure what exactly the crackers would go with on the menu but here's an idea straight from a consumer's mouth, product team. Do with that what you will. read more

2.5 stars... Being from SoCal all burger joints will be judged against In N Out. I ordered the double and my wife ordered the patty melt..we each got the meal which included the standard fries and drink. The burger was tasty and toppings were fresh, but the bun was dense and seemed a bit old. The fries were ok. The prices are higher and ambiance is what you would expect from a burger chain. It is clear why this chain moved out of Cali as it just can't hang with In N Out. This joint does not make the list. read more

Significantly better than the location in Ennis, just down the highway. Food was hot and order was correct, however just a tad slow. Interior follows the updated design, clean bathrooms. The one thing I will say about this location is that the food MUST be made as soon as you order it, because its super hot and fresh! I stopped here headed to houston and from houston back to dallas. The only reason why I am giving them a 3 Star is because both times I sat in the drive thru for over 25 minutes. They are very slow here. There were only 2-3 cars in front of me both times and each car stayed sitting. One thing about waiting that long is your praying your food is hot and the second thing is, waiting over 25 minutes in a drive thru line when you are traveling is like 30 miles being consumed up by just waiting on a SOB. read more

I stopped eating burgers at Whataburger because I found it impossible to get a hot burger. Over the last few years something has changed in how they do burgers and it isn't working... but this time I rolled through in the morning to see if they still had the Honey Chicken Biscuit, and they did. I always loved that biscuit. And though it is pretty tough to mess up that biscuit, it was barely luke warm... but edible. So, not sure how or why anyone is even eating at Whataburger when they can no longer sell you hot food. The food is always delicious at Whataburger, probably the best hamburgers in fast food in Texas for sure if not the country. Customer service is definitely lacking. Was not greeted by anyone. They just looked at you. I spoke and got nothing in return. Said thank you and was ignored. I asked for a plain burger, just the meat and bread. I was asked if I wanted cheese I said no thank you. When I opened the wrapper there was cheese on the burger but they had flipped the patty upside down. I guess they thought I wouldn't see the cheese this way. Our wrappers had random stickers on them. Such as No tomatoes, no onions when the burgers had those items, obviously not a big deal at all but was weird. Reviews have been iffy for this location, but not from here and wanted to try. We no longer live in Texas but were here visiting family, so we were really excited to eat at Whataburger. Our order was placed at 1:05 PM. We did not receive our food until 1:35 PM. 30 minutes for "fast" food. We could have gone to an actual restaurant for that amount of time and had a better meal. We ordered two burgers and two chicken nuggets kids' meals. This is what my burger looked like. The meat was like a hockey puck and the whole thing tasted as gross as it looked.
