The shop is set out in proper room mock ups so you can imagine what it would look like in your home. Harveys is often busy at the weekend so its advisable to visit in the week, where they are open late into the evening. The staff seem to be very knowledgable and are always friendly, but the fact that most items seem to have a delivery time of 10 weeks is a bit off putting. My children love the water beds.

This branch has a first floor cafe - there's a lift and also toilets (kept really clean). They do a simple cream tea for £3.50 with a scone, clotted cream and jam, with tea or coffee. It's not the Ritz, of course, but nice for a low-cost break if you are shopping in the area. They also have a selection of cakes and sandwiches. There's a good sized car park, from which it is also a short walk to a number of other retailers, like Screwfix, Wickes, and ToolStation.

Promised to reorder and deliver in August 2011. No such luck! Numerous phone calls made - numerous promises that they would chase things up and ring me back - no follow through from them. End of September - still no delivery of the paid for furniture. October brought even more false promises until eventually YES! our furniture had been delivered to Furniture Warehouse and would be delivered week begining 12th October. NO! the furniture has now disappeared in between couriers. Furniture Warehouse don't return our calls, leaving us to chase the couriers. However, after that point there have been endless difficulties contacting Furniture Warehouse to get this delivered. There phone numbers were permanently engaged/not answered. I wrote letters which they did not respond to. Thankfully the furniture has finally arrived today (26th November) and is what was ordered but I wouldn't recommend these people - terrible customer service.

The company are completely unapologetic, make no attempt to pursue the item or to call back when required to update. As far as I can see a key part of their business model is deliberately putting massively over-optimistic delivery times on their website in order to encourage you to make orders that they cannot deliver.

Cushions (nice ones!) £3 - £7, depending on size. Furniture included kitchen table and chair sets, night stands, foot stools, comfy chairs and couches, and I don't think anything was over 500. Near the back were tonnes of rugs in various sizes and for various rooms. Smaller items like dishware (a full set for £8! ... Maybe they did a study and 8 is the price that sounds like a really good deal to most people), jewellery boxes and clocks were also cheap. The key is that nothing really looks like it's from a bargain bin - or, won't once you take it out of the shop. I say, check it out.
