I'm writing this with sadness because I initially trusted and liked Dr. Haleigh Edgar. In October, I had laparoscopic surgery for suspected endometriosis with a chromopertubation. I was never informed that the procedure would involve a RUMI II uterine manipulator, cervical dilation, or an intrauterine balloon. I only discovered this after reading my operative report. As a survivor of past sexual trauma, learning this afterward was extremely distressing. Regardless of trauma history, these are invasive steps that require clear, explicit consent. After surgery, I experienced heavy bleeding, severe pain, and was prescribed medication typically used for postpartum hemorrhage without any explanation. Because I didn't know my cervix had been dilated or that uterine instrumentation was done, I had no context for why I felt so unwell. Accessing postoperative care was also difficult--my follow-up was rescheduled multiple times, and when I finally met with my doctor weeks later, she apologized for not explaining the procedure fully and actually teared up stating she "felt gutted" I felt this way. I asked why biopsies were not taken, particularly given data showing that up to 40% of patients with normal-appearing anatomy can still have microscopic disease. Dr. Edgar stated she saw no visible endometriosis and followed the "standard of care." She suggested I would have needed to request biopsies specifically, which was concerning, as patients should not have to direct their own surgical pathology plan. At the end of the visit, she agreed to remain my primary OB-GYN even as I sought a second opinion. In fact, the doctor herself said she would get a second opinion if she were in my shoes. Despite this, when I later requested an MRI through the online portal for ongoing pelvic pain, the office manager called to tell me that because I had said I "felt violated" by the lack of informed consent, no physician in the practice would continue treating me due to "liability concerns" because the word "violated" meant assault. They also stated I clearly did not trust my doctor, which was bizarre considering I had such an open and honest conversation with her about how I felt after the procedure. I quite literally trusted her with my life. I never accused my doctor of assault; I was describing my emotional response to having an unconsented vaginal procedure done under anesthesia. But instead of supporting me, the practice dismissed me as a patient. This experience has been deeply upsetting. I now do not have a doctor while I am still experiencing significant pain, and I have to find a new provider over the holidays to even get my birth control. I am in shock and emotionally devastated by the actions of WHASN Meadows. I am sharing in the hope that the physicians at this practice improve communication, informed consent, and the way they respond to patients who express distress or need better pain management for in-office procedures, and for those who advocate for their own care. read more

I started coming to this clinic after a recommendation from a random stranger who spoke very highly of Dr. Rojas. From my very first visit, I knew she was the right doctor for me--especially after some not-so-great experiences elsewhere. I've had male doctors in the past and never truly felt understood, so finding a woman provider who really listens and cares has made all the difference. The moment I found out I was pregnant, I didn't hesitate to choose Dr. Rojas' office. The clinic is beautiful, and the entire staff is wonderful. Every specialist, tech, lab staff member, and front desk employee has been kind, professional, and on top of everything--call backs, scheduling, paperwork, excuse letters, you name it. The doctors and specialists genuinely have your best interest at heart, so I always take their advice seriously. They've helped make my pregnancy healthy and surprisingly easy, and I'm so grateful for that. (Not with the doctor, but office itself) However, I just came back urging to try a new OB. I recently saw Jaime Funk and I LOVED her! If I could give zero stars, I absolutely would. This office is beyond unprofessional and a complete disappointment. As much as I respect and love Dr. Lisa Roberts, I refuse to continue coming here because the staff and their shady billing practices are unbearable. I was instructed by my doctor to come in for a simple blood pressure check and was assured multiple times that there would be no charge since I wouldn't be seeing the doctor or nurse practitioner. I even confirmed again when booking the appointment, and the answer was still no charge. Fast forward, I get a call saying I was billed and owe a co-pay over a basic blood pressure reading. To make matters worse, the medical assistant Mona was flat-out rude, dismissive, and told me not to "overreact" because it was the insurance that charged me. That level of disrespect is unacceptable. When I asked for the manager, Jules, she doubled down, saying that even if they take your temperature, they'll bill insurance. So essentially, you get charged for breathing in their office. The office also enforces ridiculous rules: if you're even five minutes late, you're slapped with a $50 fee and forced to reschedule, but when the doctor is late or doesn't show, you're expected to wait around or just reschedule without compensation. The double standard is infuriating. This office has turned into nothing but a money-hungry, patient-disrespecting nightmare. They hide behind insurance to justify overcharging, treat patients with zero courtesy, and act like they're doing you a favor by keeping you as a patient. I won't give them the chance to decline me I'll happily take my business to an office that values honesty, professionalism, and respect for patients. read more

8 years later, still a patient with patience. I am not going to lie. I stick by my original review from eight years ago. I am still with Dr. Lisa Roberts. The valley is lucky that she is still here, for gynos are not moving to Las Vegas and this sector is not growing along with the population of Las Vegas. This place is still high volume and actually even higher volume since eight years ago. If you are a female, you will have to discover your own gyno route on your own. From experience, I know that "wait time" is always going to be part of the WHASN Meadow modi operandi. I find Dr. Roberts and/or her team or her PA Chelsea worth the wait. Wait time is secondary to me over her experience. I am an easy client, so all you pregnant ladies with complicated situations should take precedent over me and I am actually OK with that. My time today took exactly two hours from sign in to check out, for an annual. In always managing my expectations before even entering the building, I am personally prepared to be multi-tasking. I never schedule anything the rest of my day... to avoid glaring at my watch like waiting for water to boil. I do often feel bad when I see woman walking up to the counter in the waiting room and frustrated, because "I have another appointment to get to." For one day out to the year, my lady parts take priority and I take the day off from everything else. Again, worth the wait to me for Dr. Roberts or her PA Chelsea. First mistake, never schedule anything after your appointment at WHASN. If you get in and out of there in a short amount of time with no wait, it will be a huge win for you and your day (go treat yourself to something special like a coffee trip or a nap or go get some work done). But in a high volume practice where all sorts of things can go south, like doctors being called away due to emergencies or baby deliveries, wait times happen. I absolutely have experienced my fair share of them over the years from this office, so I get it. Their lobby after a recent remodel is quite large, still dark and modern in decor (I think this is to be zen like, but no sunlight is often not a great decor style to me). It is indeed overwhelming to walk through the main doors this past week and see the literal sea of women waiting (I am sure there were 25-30 women waiting). But taking it in stride and always prepared with some things to keep me busy, I tuned out the negative banter amongst other patients complaining about wait times with U2 on my headphones, reading e-mail and birthday card writing. LOL! I did mention the multitasking was helpful. The staff seem Ok to me, maybe a touch less friendly in place of efficiency of their volume. I have always trusted Dr. Roberts, her medical advise and her team. I am an unexciting easy patient though with no children who has been knocking boots with the same man for almost 30 years. Nothing interesting to see here. If your gynecologcal life is complicated and you have no time for wait times, this is not your practice. read more

When I finally went to check to see what was going on at 8:15, we were told they were going to talk to the manager to find out. At 8:30 we were told no one would be here until 9a or we could come back another day. Very unprofessional. Other than being confused by the renovations and getting lost to check out after my visit, everything went really well. I wasn't sure if i was at the right office at first because everything looked different but the new office and waiting area is really nice. Yes, I arrived early and brought a book as usual to any doctor visit, but within 10 minutes or so I was already taken back for my vitals and into a room. After the initial discussion with the medical assistant, I changed and probably only waited about 20 minutes for my annual check-up and I was on my way. I was in and out within the hour. The staff was friendly and informative, I like the convenience of filling out the paperwork online ahead of time so the NP/Doctors can review it while already in the room. Also, appreciate being rescheduled so close to my original appointment because my period came during the week when i made that annual appointment a year prior. read more

Had an appointment that I specifically scheduled for 7:30am because it was the only time I'd be able to make before a 10:30 appointment elsewhere. I arrived At 7:25 with no one at the front desk except for the mammogram check in, who said she could not check me in and the other receptionists would be out by 8am. I had already checked in online the day prior. By 8:05-10 someone finally appeared at the front desk who confirmed I was here. By 8:38 I was called back up to the desk and told that I would Not be able to be seen today as "my name was called multiple times and I did not answer." I told her that was a lie and that I've been here since 7:25 and not heard my name once, nor did I briefly leave. The receptionist could not comprehend my telling her that no one has called my name despite me waiting an hour. I even witnessed the NP provider, who was supposed to see me, not arrive until shortly after 8am. This is not the first time my day has been wasted by this office. Another similar issue occurred 2 months prior. I have been coming here since 2019 and this office staff continues to show lack of accountability and consideration for its patients time. Both the front desk and check out desk are inattentive to detail and seem to have no experience in how an office should be professionally ran. That being said I am sad to lose my Dr, who is fantastic, but the incompetence of the office staff are not worth the frustration. read more

I am incredibly disappointed by my experience with Dr. Joe Rojas at WHASN Meadows. TLDR: I had severe complications from a routine hysterectomy performed by Dr. Rojas. The complications included several hospitalizations for a terrible infection, a collapsed lung, pneumonia and pleural effusion. I have been unable to work for months. I need accommodations to return to work but he is unwilling to fill out the forms that I need to get the accommodations that would allow me to work again. The full story: I was suffering from uterine fibroids and went to WHASN. I was initially extremely pleased that Dr. Rojas approved a hysterectomy for me. I am in my 30s and I don't have children. When I told him about my issues in the past regarding doctors not approving my sterilization because I am childfree, Dr. Rojas enthusiastically affirmed my choice and said 'Your body, your choice.' This made me happy because he actually listened to my needs, that would soon change. I scheduled my surgery. The staff at the hospital were friendly and I thought that everything seemed to have gone well after it was done. I was sorely mistaken. I have had 3 other surgeries in my life and I have not experienced anything like this. About 5 days after the surgery, I was hospitalized for an ileus. It can be dangerous, but this a common complication from surgery. At the ER a collection of fluid was found near my liver, but the doctors said that it could just be from trauma to the area from the surgery. It took about 10 days for the ileus to resolve. I was discharged from the hospital still in acute pain. I could not sit up on my own or walk without assistance. I eventually had to use a walker to get around. The pain got worse, and I got antibiotics from WHASN. Dr. Rojas was on vacation at the time, so I had to follow up with other doctors in the office. Eventually the pain was too much and I was instructed to go back to the hospital by WHASN. A very large abscess was found on my liver. A drain was inserted into my side as 500 ccs of puss slowly leaked out of my body for about a week. The pain was excruciating and I was on morphine and other opioids. The abscess was so heavy that my lung collapsed. One of the nurses told me that I was lucky that I didn't get sepsis from it. My breathing was labored and painful. I was discharged with instructions to see a pulmonologist. The pulmonologist told me to get my lung cavity drained. A long needle was stuck through my back and into my lungs and the fluid was pulled out. The pain decreased significantly, but I still had issues breathing. I was hospitalized yet again for pneumonia. The infection from my liver made it to my lungs. I was bedridden for about two months. I am in physical therapy because my muscles atrophied. When I had follow up appointments, at WHASN I would have to wait for 1-2 hours in the waiting room to be seen. It is almost impossible to get someone on the phone. If you have an emergency, and need immediate care, you will not get any sort of quick assistance from this office. You have to leave a message and hopefully get a call back in several days. It has been 5 months since the surgery. I have permanent scarring on my lungs. I have had 1-4 doctors appointments every single week to address the issues caused by this surgery. Dr. Rojas explained that he thought that there was saline, used to flush the surgery site, left in my body after the surgery that got infected. As the months went by, Dr. Rojas became progressively short and rude during my appointments. I felt rushed, and at one appointment, he walked out of the door in the middle of me speaking. Unfortunately, my FMLA has run out but I am no longer able to perform my previous job. My company is willing to transfer me to a work from home job as I heal, but Dr. Rojas refuses to fill out the paperwork for me. I have called and emailed his office, but they do not respond. Do not go to WHASN Meadows if you want personal or quality care. After some research, I found that Dr. Rojas loss a medical malpractice lawsuit for taking the wrong ovary out during a surgery.
