Now there are times I might not care for every song selected, but that is just how it goes. There is even music play from the 2000's to today. However, I have noticed 98% of the time when a R&B song is played, the rap versions are taken out in the song. I have wondered why this is? Especially when is a clean radio version. 97.1 Wash FM plays great music, but they also have been known to play Christmas music before the end of October and all the way to January. I find this to be very annoying. No I am not a fan of Christmas music, because we working in fast food and retail shops, this music was played 24-7. It no wonder employees unplugged the music system, but I digress. Between 94.7 and 97.1 I get my fill of great music. I have my stations preset to every company vichele(s) I drive. Great times on an every day basis:)

Even when he passed away this year. However,  I was turned off by hearing the same annoying songs again and again.  I slowly started looking for other talk shows. Last week I came across DC101'S Elliott In The Morning.  I found myself enjoying his shows and even covering topic that would seem taboo for Hot 99.5. Today I heard a conversation about a guy losing $1,300.00  from his bank, because of an error. It took a long time to get his money back. I could envision the annoyance... I also heard about hoarders segment. I happened to turn on the radio just in time to hear about someone taking a dump on their bathtub.  The stuff was pretty high.  Clean out the house is something I couldn't imagine cleaning out. Now I am listening to the segment about roadway debris.  Crazy, but very entertaining the way Elliot explains it. I also enjoying hearing the caller's take on the situation. The one thing I don't like are the radio commercials. USAA,  Geico's army guy ad and other who's name I can't remember. They have an annoying whiny song and sing "isn't time to get along" or something like that.   I have heard this on many stations and I don't see it going away any time soon.  Nevertheless,  Elliott In The Morning is a breath of fresh air when it comes to Hot 99.5. I look forward to hearing what else he might say.
