Due to covid, safety protocols are in place. While I like seeing the array of items they have besides wine, it is a very different experience. There is no tasting so you are buying the wine blind like in a liquor store. You need to know what you want. There are only 3 types of wine here -- blueberry, cranberry and white cranberry. Made my own wine just for fun…read more I brought a bottle of my favorite wine for a sample. Mark (owner/operator) gave me a few suggestions of wine kits that would produce a reasonable facsimile. Mark was willing to do most of the work, but I insisted on being fully hands-on. So, I came in periodically according to a predetermined schedule to mix ingredients, transfer fluids, and eventually bottle and cork my finished wine. Mark also allowed me to add syrup to sweeten the wine to suit my palate. If you prefer to put in minimal effort, Mark is willing to do the heavy lifting. All in, it worked out to about $5 a bottle for a nice Shiraz. Had I brought my own bottles, the price would have been even less. But, since this was my first time, I had to buy the bottles. I've enjoyed the wine immensely, and it has gotten better tasting as it aged. I will definitely come back at some point once I finish drinking my 30 bottles of wine. Mark was super patient with me. I learned so much from him. It was fun, and I enjoyed the experience even more than the wine itself.

Carry it carefully, and keep it upright in the fridge! I lost half a bottle as it leaked out (I put it flat, as I didn't have room in the fridge) Strawberry Makgeolli (375ml/$10) - smaller bottle than the rest, but super tasty. I don't usually like strawberry flavoured drinks, but this was subtle and not too sweet. I'd get this again. Citron/Green Grape Makgeolli (all 1L/$13) - I prefer the tartness of the citron and green grape makegeolli. Slightly favour the citron more, as it's even more tart. Both are a great choice though. I've also had the Byeol Bam soju (unflavoured) which was the smoothest soju I've ever had. Dangerously good, as you end up drinking more than you think. The original Makgeolli was fine as well, just the classic.
