I have been a regular, local customer for a couple of years and spent thousands here. I brought my dog in with a paralysis tick on Friday night, informing the vet on duty that I wouldn't have enough to pay the full bill until Monday afternoon, as sufficient funds could only be transferred until this time. He assured me it would be OK and I could arrange an alternative payment to settle the remainder of the bill which, as usual, was exhorbitant. Arrived to pick up our beloved pet on Sunday, and was told they couldn't process the alternative payment until Monday/Tuesday, even though I offered to pay for most of the bill right then and there. I wasn't allowed to pick up my dog because of the 'paid in full' policy, so was sent packing and advised that I would need to pay $160 each night that he had to stay until I could pay the bill in full. The dog, and my kids, who had been briefly reunited after his 2-day visit were devastated. They say something about 'compassion and value' as part of their values but they are a money hungry, heartless organisation who don't care about the customer or the pet. read more
