SCAMMERS- AVOID AT ALL COSTS I found some laminated seed packets. I picked out three, thinking that I would exchange them for new ones at the front (I was under the impression that they were kept up front to prevent theft- turns out, they're the thieves). I gave them to the cashier and paid (it was $9.72). He then slid the laminated packets over to me and thanked me. I was confused so I asked where my seeds were. He then told me that what I had bought *were* the laminated packets. I was pretty flabbergasted because that was not at all clear when I picked them up. I asked for my money back and he just stared at me blankly and said "it doesn't say that they're seeds anywhere." I told him that they were very clearly seed packets and what I had thought about why they kept up front. Finally, he reluctantly gave me $9 back when he realized I wasn't an idiot and when I asked for my ¢72 he told me it was tax and the store would keep it (illegal, but okay, buddy). I walked out without a word. This is a pathetic attempt to scam tourists who are too afraid to ask for their money back. Not to mention the fact that I look like a child and he probably thought I would chicken out. Side note, the place smelled awful and the rest of the selection was pretty bad. Also, if you *are* going to sell laminated seed packets, make that WAY clearer to the customer. He didn't even clarify that he wasn't selling me seeds before he asked me to pay when I literally came up and asked, "may I please have these seeds?" read more

We stopped here for a lunch and a bathroom break. The quickest of lunches is not ordering a sandwich at Subway, but getting soup. There soups are surprisingly tasty. It was a relief that they sold hot soup along with the regular sub. The line really builds up at Subway, so if you want a Sub it's best to walk in the door and get straight in line. The bathrooms are nice and located past the Subway line in back. The store part is filled with drinks, snacks, and gifts. This was a very pleasant stop. I would stop here again. read more

I can't say enough about this store. I've been stopping at this store for years and they never disappoint. Clean, friendly, and lots of cute gadgets and yummy spices to purchase. I love their "Good Shit" spice and all the different "Shit" spices! LOL If I'm rushing to So Cal I may not necessarily stop here, but on the way back it's a MUST as I always find something cute or fun to buy for a gift or just for me. Do not buy the hot sauce it's horrible!!! I got a bottle of their hot sauce pay $6 dollars I tried it with my subway it was so bad, and super salty- told the cashier I hated the sauce. But there were no slim jim, or veggies that we're looking for, and I was going to buy some sauce, but the price is a little high for me. we took a little long, may be 20 minutes to see around. We walked out and the lady was shaking her head many times for me to see & said took us that long to look for an item. Omg, it call shopping, looking for items that we like to purchase. I bought a bag of Garlic Bites here. If you're garlic lover, you got to get them! They are so good! I should have bought more.

Arrived to the Subway at 7:00 was told no hot sandwiches because they were ready to close, ordered cold. We sat down to eat and one of the Subway employees began putting up all the chairs. Family next to ate standing up, while 4 other clients were told they needed to eat outside. Meanwhile store cashier literally ran to close restrooms. I beat her there and still she insisted I was not to use the restroom. I left went next door, used restroom there, pumped gas next door finished both was back in my car by 7:30. So I believe that the clock at Subway was ahead by at least 10 minutes. It's evident the employees are not vested at all in either the Subway or the convenience store. Won't be stopping there again. read more

Drove by this store many times and decided to go in and check it out. They have a large variety of packages snack foods. Next time I'll be more prepared to pay the high price for the food. 4 small bags of snacks and a super small strawberry milk was 43 bux. I didn't realize this was a high rent district. This place is a frequent stop for our family when traveling to and from the Bay Area. The last 3 times we have stopped has been a very unpleasant visit and I am sad to say that I don't think we will be stopping here any longer as their cashier Angie is the rudest cashier ever. My wife went in to use their restroom and to grab a bottle water and a pack of gum although she did see the sign that states "minimum purchase of 10.00" to use credit card. She gave the cashier her debit card. When Angie told her very rudely "it's a minimum purchase of 10.00 to use your credit card" and my wife said "it's not my credit it's debit." Angie them told her they don't take debit there. My wife put the items to the side a bit upset for Angie was rude to her, came out and told me that we were going to go to another stop because she did not have cash. I then got off to grab stuff she left behind because I had cash. Upon arriving in the store I encountered Angie. I said "I'm here to get the bottle water and other items." I paid and she did not give a total, I gave here a 10.00 bill and she slammed the receipt on the counter and it caught me off guard. I replied and told her she was being very rude. (Because she slammed my receipt on the counter) as I was walking out she said under her breath..just like you're Lil girlfriend. I stopped and walked back in and said..excuse me what did you say. She said...have a nice day. I said "your in customer service and you just can't say things under your breath as customers are leaving the store" and you definitely can't be saying things about my wife. She said well you guys cannot be rude either..your wife was rude too. I stressed the customer service skills she lacked and asked her for her store manager. Sadly he was unavailable until Monday. She did not give me her name she said it was on the receipt. She was trying to help another customer and did not care to help me with the complaint, of course. I stepped away as she helped the other customer and then ended by leaving. Although the store is clean and has a variety of snacks and a subway. This is a co place to stop when on the road and have a healthy snack! There are good options for nuts and dried fruits. Subway counter is inside the store, with expanded sitting area. The store itself is warm and exciting: lots of interesting merchandise. Bathrooms are fresh and clean, which is surprising in a good way. read more

I've got to believe that you have to drive by this place on 5 quite often before you'd really find yourself a regular customer here. I'm more than a little surprised it's stayed in business for as long as it has. They have a smattering of odd knick-knacks, snacks, drinks, etc. Although they have plenty of different kinds of snack bags similar to trail mix and the like, there's not much else to buy, given the location of the store, that is. The lady working was counting her drawer, she clearly saw us waiting but didn't say anything or gesture to let us know it would be a minute. Pit stop to la. This place was a surprise, a small shop among gas stations and major fast food restaurants. We only went in here because there was a Subways inside it. The shop was pretty cool, it has trinkets and other items that you could pick up as a souvenir. Other than that, it seemed as if most people came into this store just to use the restroom or to get a drink and some Subway sandwiches. There is seating outside in the front and at the back of the restaurant which was pretty nice considering you see the whole country side and the crops that farmers are growing. I think coming here in the evening would be more impressive as the background and setting of the sun will make it quite a beautiful thing to see. read more

We stopped here on our way to the Bay Area and decided to do it again on our way back. While the store is a good stop for a snack and bathroom, the cashiers ( both the old and the young) are infuriatingly rude. On both occasions I got and attitude like they were doing me some favor for allowing me to pay for the stuff I bought. After a few long minutes of chit-chat while there were people waiting in line the young one finally turned with that arrogant look on her face like we were all inferior to her grocery store cashier PhD. Zero courtesy, no answer to greetings and the best was when I got yelled at because I didn't see the receipt she put in front of me to sign and then she gave me this disgusted look and turned to the old one eating on a chair next to her said something in Spanish and both burst into laughing in a mocking way. Seriously Country Store? Hire some polite people with an ounce of intelligence who understand respect for the customer and send these stupid idiots home to pour their frustrations on their own families.
