I was totally confused about this place - Oakridge Park!…read more Was it a museum, a gallery or a popup ... I was curious & in a state of wonderment! Did some digging & found out that it's actually a ... ta da ... presentation centre for the future brand new Oakridge mall, high rise residences & businesses, all amongst a 10 acre park. Currently under construction with opening date of 2027, this project is absolutely massive. This will all go down or up if you prefer, at Cambie St & West 41st Ave & is a multi year project by Westbank Corp, a real estate developer. No I'm not going to tell you about this company (I'm just excited about this new development project - Oakridge Park) but just know that they have upcoming projects in Seattle, San Diego & the rest of the world including several already completed buildings in Vancouver. Have a peak at their website. Oakridge Park is going to be huge, yes as in bigly - an amazing place to live, work & eat at! The colours, the artwork & the lighting are an absolutely stunning visual presentation. Your mind will be dazed & confused trying to take it all in! So impressed was I with the future Oakridge hub presentation, I immediately purchased 10 units! Aw hell naw! What you thinking ... that my last name is Gates!? I wish! If you've got a lot of cash, & I mean a heck of a lot, then invest here ASAP! 1 bedroom units with 900sq feet plus start at over a cool million. They will all come fully furnished! It's going to be a spectacular place to live at & be immersed in! I'm jealous! My mind was blown away here at this show room! Get down here ASAP & check it out. Please note ... currently viewing of the show room is by appointment only - so make an appointment! Oh & bring both your Black cards, cause you will be tempted! LOL! Yelpies I declare my second cousins cousin, my third uncle & my aunties do not work here & I know absolutely no one associated or with affiliations to this project! This is purely a fascinating presentation that y'all must check out & buy a unit before they sell out! Ok so there now that's out of the way & just so you know, my mama doesn't work here either - now get down here! #gofundmycondo

Our house is around 35 years old, he was able to give us excellent recommendation to make necessary improvement to fit our budget. Shaun is very detail oriented. For example, we told him that we would like to have the back gate being able to slide open easily and fit a regular car width, so we can drive in easily to park our car in our back yard. He made it happen and the rail mechanism he designed works really well even though we have a sloped driveway. Another impressive job that he did for us was straightening our old brick fence and brick column. ( We had a few contractors over but he was the only one who told us he could do it). All the renovation work was done in timely manner and the price he quoted us is the final price we paid. We highly recommend his work and will for sure hire him again for future projects.

Thanks to their study, I have avoided purchasing that property which had potential costly repairs and remediation work. I have now purchased and successfully rented out a property of which we are comfortable with and are planning to build a custom home on it within a few years. A relatively small cost for their professional report has saved me a large multiple of time and money. Based on their knowledge, communication, and expertise, I recommend hiring them.

First home, bought with polygon. Had some minor issues, and it took time to deal with their customer service. In fact, the manager of polygon customer service accused me of "wanting to get free light bulbs". Never apologized either. Two years later, I heard he was dismissed and that they were revamping the customer service. Today, in a new polygon home, another customer service guy comes in and right off the bat, says, "I don't see no problem." After telling him 3 times that the same event has already happened 3 times in 2 weeks, then he realize I wasn't happy and say he will send someone to look into it, but continues to emphasize that "there is no problem as I can see." I want to ask, what exactly did Polygon homes revamp? And I thought Omni was the one cutting quality and corners.

The last two reviewers gave EasyRent great reviews. I like to see how like them after a few years…read moreof dealing with them (or rather not dealing with them). We rented from them for over 4 years. During that period, we called them twice with issues. The first time was to do with the central air conditioning unit. No one ever returned our phone call. The second time we emailed. The garburator stopped working over the weekend (things always break down over the weekend...). We got an email back on Monday saying they could get a plumber out but it might be at our cost if the issue was caused by us. So I researched online and fix it myself. The apartment was brand new when we moved in. After 4 years, there were a bit of wear and tear as one would expect. Not to mention, we thought we took care of our home compared to other apartments in the same building (we viewed other apartments since we wanted to stay in the same building). When we gave notice to move out, Easyrent was all of sudden a fly on s**t. We were given a long list of items to clean before moving out. We have a pet, so after a showing, we got a call warning us about the pet smell and the state of the carpet which it had to be professionally cleaned (a receipt must be shown to get our deposit back). Fair enough, on moved out, we hired a professional cleaner to clean everything in the apartment including washing the balcony and the parking spot. We were getting that feeling that no matter what we did we were not getting our full deposit back (which will be a first for us). We were pretty sure they wanted the apartment to return to its brand new condition like 4 years ago. Is that reasonable? During the inspection, all was good but a few walls where we had hung pictures and shelves that needed re-painting. Yes, patching was not enough, we had to re-paint for about $100 to $150! But the inspector said she would speak to the new tenant whether he cared. I said no problem and thanked her for helping us out. We ended the inspection with her telling me Easyrent had 15 days to return our deposit. A few days later, I got a call said the new tenant complained about the pet odour and we might be charged $150 for an ozone clean. Again I said no problem. 11 days later, I got a call said the new tenant was now complaining about the dirty blinds, but they would let go the pet issue. Why wasn't this brought up at the initial inspection? We got charged $150 for the blind clean. But not before, we were told we were getting off easy since the owner had to pay over $400 for re-painting. Remember I was told $150 would be charged for repainting, now apparently it will cost $400. When we questioned the inspector on anything, she quoted the tenancy act. Honestly, we didn't know much about the act. I just took her words for it since she was the professional. I absolutely didn't have a reason to believe she was telling me lies. But if that is way the act is set up, someone needs to fight to give tenants more rights. Especially when BC housing ownership is so expensive and most of us are renters. We were never late on our rent and obviously cost Easyrent nothing while we were tenants. All they did was just collected our rent cheques. Nothing above or beyond. We thought we kept our apartment in good condition especially after the professional cleaning. We were even told by the inspector we were good renters and to come back to them whenever. We didn't enjoy the BS from Easyrent weeks before and after moving out. My advice is don't rent from Easyrent, but if you already rent from them, don't ever move out.

I should have read the reviews before being exposed to their UNBELIEVABLE UNPROFESSIONALISM, their INCOMPETENCE, their ARROGANCE and their LACK OF BUSINESS ETHICS. I am a homeowner and a landlord myself and I teach a course on "Communication" at the university. I made an offer on a rental (as a part time city residence for myself) and THEY ASKED ME TO SEND COMPARABLE LISTINGS!! They did not receive my web application, I asked them what happened and Santam, the office guy, said I should send personal information and my Bio BEFORE they could send me a formal application. In the meantime, Maryam, who was working outside of the office and responsible for showings, kept texting me asking when I'd like to see the condo. I finally called and asked what kind of racket they were running and let them know that my realtor would contact the owners to advise them of their incompetence! Considering this tough market that is overrun by rental units flooding the marketplace, it is unconscionable to both operate and to treat a potential client in this manner. I advise you to read all reviews before dealing with EasyRent Real Estate Services!!!!! By the way, they asked me not to write a review....
