Another year another dollar. I can speak specifically to my experience and my tax guy. I have been using Nate Tuttle since he was legally allowed to work on a person's taxes 2013ish. I need someone that I knew would look for every possible way to get me a fair return but didn't want to pay more than TurboTax type prices. And honestly being able to talk to a real human being without a hiked price was a huge win. Since then he has provided great customer service and has been a major asset to the Weston & Tuttle family. Every time he has saved me money, got me a return, with little to no questions for me. I provide him with all documentation and he puts his head down and goes to work. THE VERDICT: Cannot be more pleased with the service rendered by Nate and highly recommend using him, not just if you live in the surrounding area but his knowledge of tax law and information expands throughout the entire United States. (and honestly maybe further but that is all the help I have ever needed). Go and get some chedda! read more

After 18 years of using the same accountant we switched to Weston & Tuttle on the recommendation of several friends. As the one in our household who does all the preparation for tax time, I wish I had done it sooner as Truman Weston opened my eyes on how much more work I was making for myself. Truman made it easier to understand really what I should be keeping track of in my husbands two businesses and our own personal finances and believe me -our books are complicated!!! He is sharp and takes the time to understand what we have going on to take full advantage of possible tax deductions. I appreciate his timely responses to questions we have and the tax planning advice throughout the year. read more

We had been looking for a few years to find a good knowledgeable CPA to help us with our taxes for a small business as well as our personal taxes. We tried a couple different companies and always felt like all they did was fille the appropriate documents and paperwork. We needed a good aggressive CPA with a deep understanding of the tax codes in order to help us run our business as profitable as possible. We started asking around to friends and other small business owners and heard about Weston & Tuttle from more than one person. We decided to give them a try for the 2016 tax year, and we have never looked back. They are very professional and have saved us thousands of dollars over the years. Whether we need to buy another truck or purchase a new piece of equipment before the end of the year or prepay a portion of state or federal taxes to avoid a new law that goes into effect on January 1st, Weston & Tuttle have always steered us in the right direction with an eye looking into the future for any ways to save. They pay for themselves ten times over every year. We are very happy with their service! read more

As a new business owner, I had no clue what I was doing! Russell helped tremendously take all of the stress and worry of filing certain paperwork off my back so I could focus on the actual business itself! He stayed patient as I asked a variety of questions from filing to tax documents. We have a plan of attack that is easy to follow, and I can rely on him for any questions that come up along the way. read more

They get everything lined out and are very organized. As a new business owner I had a lot of questions and they were able answer because they had plenty of experience to back it, along with other things I should prepare throughout the year to make my life eas read more

Weston & Tuttle are the best! We have been very satisfied since we started using them about 6 years ago. After bouncing around between a few different CPAs, and never being truly pleased, we met with Truman and have been blown away by his professionalism, knowledge and attentiveness. Truman keeps us up to speed on any changes that may effect our small business, he contacts us throughout the year to make sure we're making the most of the tax benefits and when the time comes, our taxes are done promptly. read more

Friendly, helpful and extremely knowledgeable! All the staff here are amazing! I highly recommend this firm!

We needed a competent accountant to help with our business and Weston and Tuttle have been fabulous. We have worked with Mark, Nate, Russel, and Kaly, and they have been nothing but kind, patient, knowledgeable, and professional. They do all of our personal and Corporate taxes and making the switch to them has been the best decision we ever made. They are so quick to respond to any question you may have and answer all questions, no matter how complicated, without frustration. I couldn't recommend them more. read more

Truman has been a lifesaver for my company and there taxes. He sets goals for me every year to stick by, he is honest and is very responsive. He also gives me pointers on ways to do certain things. His integrity and passion for it is unreal. Everytime I go to see him he is ready to go with my taxes and also takes the time to ask about how life in general is also. Much appreciated. After owning 3 companies and being through many CPA's there is no one as knowledgeable and tax savy as Truman Weston. He's the son of the founder and I just love this guy. He takes his time and has saved me tons of aggravation and money by guiding me to make the right planning and decisions. read more

I feel bad about giving bad reviews, but my experience was not a positive one. I went to W&T for tax prep after my CPA retired. Long story short: they charged more, made an error in the IRS's favor and wanted to charge me to fix the error. So after giving them a shot for two tax seasons I ended up with somebody else this year who charges less, understood all my documents/benefits, and I'm back to getting a small refund. I know they do a lot more than tax prep, and they probably do a fine job, but I did not have a good experience with them. read more

If you are looking for an unaccountable accountant this is the place to go. In the 4 years I went here, they had messed up twice. The first time was small and accidents do happen, so I thought no big deal. The second time however, that one was big. I supplied them with accurate information and they did not report the income of an entire 1099. They basically said it was my fault and I'm suppose to double check my taxes, I did double check what I know but I'm no tax expert, which is why I went to a CPA. Back to the double checking, both my 1099's were in the file with the accountants handwriting on them, Sam Hoppe even verified that's how he double checks his work. There was also a preparation packet I filled out where both 1099's were totaled up, with the accountants handwriting on it. In my double checking this indicates he accounted for everything. By the way, they told me they never received the documents. When confronted they said sorry, but placed blame on me. They offered to pay the interest and penalties on the money but that's it. I take responsibility for my taxes and will pay them. I had to get a 24k loan for this which all I wanted was for them to pay that loan interest. I previously had the money but paid cash for remodeling my home that year since it did not go to taxes. I'm a responsible husband and father of 3 who is working 2 jobs. If my taxes were done correctly I would of simply held off on renovating my home. Now I have a loan and an extra payment I have to deal with, creating hardship for our family. The loan I got was not a personal loan either, I got a low rate loan against a vehicle I had paid off to make the interest as cheap as I could when I asked Weston and Tuttle to pay for it. They told me no. I spent 2 hours and 7 minutes on the phone with the IRS, most of it on hold. The IRS said I could get them to abate my penalties and interest, that total almost equals my loan interest. I shared that info with Weston and Tuttle, trying to work with them, I figured if I could get the penalties waived, they could pay my loan interest instead and it would be a win win. They told me I was a lair and the IRS would never say that. But the IRS did say that. Weston and Tuttle would not even refund their fee, which I asked them to do so because I technically paid for my taxes to be done right and they were not. They told me they would give me half off this years, that's just silly, why would I go back to them? They have no integrity, accountability or professionalism at this firm. It's been over a year and they have still left me with the bill to pay the penalties and interest that were the direct result of their terrible service. Again they stated they would pay these, so i email them the IRS letters when I get them and they don't even acknowledge me. read more

I was using Mark Tuttle for my taxes since 2010 based on a referral. We decided to change to a different CPA because we felt the customer service became extremely poor. It would take weeks to get a returned phone call or have have someone respond to our e-mails. We ended up having to go directly to their office to see if we could get some help to answer our questions and Mark Tuttle was not in the office. We were told they would leave a message for him and have him get back to us. A few weeks have passed and still no phone call. At that point we made a change and we couldn't be happier. It was the first time in 5 years we actually got a refund! read more

After moving to the greater Sacramento area four years ago, I was in search of a CPA. I inquired of my new colleagues for recommendations and it was no question that Weston and Tuttle was their top pick. My wife and I then met with Truman and his team, introduced ourselves and our goals and each interaction since then has been full of expertise, promptness and friendliness. In addition to my personal finances, Truman delivered fantastic help and advice in the development of my corporation, from its financial setup to strategic planning. And his response time with all my questions is very quick, even in the midst of their busy tax season. Come tax time, my returns are promptly completed and the transactions are seamless. When Truman and I meet to discuss financial goals he dives further than just my bank statements. He develops goals and strategies with my wife and I that fit our family for the moment and vision for our future. I couldn't endorse these guys more, with highest recommendation! read more

Terrible service, they screwed up, gave them a second chance, then they cost me thousands by screwing up again on what I know now, is very common tax stuff and would be common sense for a professional. read more
