Terrible experience. I went in for an ear infection, the dr didnt put a cover over the tool and stuck the metal in my ear. i told her she was hurting me and then she realized she didnt put a sanitary cap on it. i did not see her sterilize the instrument after. She also told me I had blood in my ear and an ear infection. she then got another dr to look at me who said i did not gave an infection. Terrible experience. Go elsewhere! read more

Unfortunately service has gone downhill. I am 22 weeks pregnant and have been coughing for three weeks, I already know it's bronchitis not Covid because I got the bronchitis for my 93-year-old grandmother. I know the difference, I've had bronchitis once every other year since I was four, it ends up turning into pneumonia which I'm trying to avoid. I had a virtual visit a few days ago, however, my OB wants my lungs to be listened to because she feels the amount of prescription I was given is not accurate to the severity of how I sound. I made a new appointment for today to come in so they could actually listen to me. They call me up to cancel the appointment and tell me it's another virtual visit. I'm sorry, how do you diagnose bronchitis or pneumonia through virtual visit? I'm also pregnant and need to care for my baby's life on top of my own. My husband went in for the same symptoms on Monday and they saw him in person, not sure why they all of a sudden cannot see me. I should be higher priority because I'm pregnant and been like this for three weeks. I understand their safety protocols and such, but There should be a priority of care for those in need. I am not contagious whether it's Covid, bronchitis, or whatever, it's been so long. read more

I went for an annual physical in September and next thing I know The bill came out $1137.00 for the visit. They said they billed me for an established care patient whatever that means. I live in Florida and they have an address for me in Florida so I would come up there maybe once a year for physical if that much. I called them and asked if they can change the bill to an annual physical so my insurance company does not have me paying out-of-pocket the additional amount which was about $300. My insurance company has a health spending account spending so it picked up part of it whatever I had left over for the year. If I had nothing left over I would have to pay $1100!. If I have a $20 or $50 co pay, then I may say you can commit fraud, waste and abuse. But since I have to pay out of pocket, this should not happen. I'm in the office for less than 30 minutes. Do you dare charge all your patients this amount? I recommend everyone to check their explanation of benefits. I am in the process of asking them to recode the bill and my insurance company is also giving them a call to see what can be done. The doctor I saw which I will not name yet if they decide to play nice was average. But if you are to ask me if she is worth $1100 for 20 mins, I would have to rethink this. I consider this robbery, fraud, waste and abuse and may need to report them. If they change their minds and decide to adjust their claim then I will retract this and consider this a misunderstanding by both parties. Stay tuned. ------------Update------- Since I wrote this, another person with more experience from the billing office called me and was much nicer than previous one and explained that it was an error and they will change the billing to the annual physical. She explained what happened and that the information the biller had was incorrect. So I have to up my stars now to 4 stars where I would consider going back again. read more

Now while my annual check-up went fine, the follow-up blood work was mediocre, at best. I went in around 8AM after a 12-hour fast, the nurse was fairly abrupt and then when she went to take blood (routine, I might add), I was in excruciating pain for the entire duration. She mumbled something about my veins, went about her work and then I left. Well,it's been one week since my visit and now my entire forearm is sore, there's a black and blue where she injected me and I can barely hold up my kids. I don't think this is normal. read more

I arrived 7-8 minutes late to my appointment and proceeded to wait another 10 minutes online in the office while they were checking in other people and answered phones. When I was finally asked my name and they went to check me in they told me I couldn't be seen because I was too late. I asked very nicely if they could check with someone because I had been there waiting for a while. The manager Jody came out and said she would have to reschedule me . I tried to explain to her the situation of me waiting and that I had taken off of work and had to get childcare to come to the appointment. I understand being late is an annoyance as I work in the service industry but honestly it was at max 8 mins and the amount of times I have sat in a room waiting 45 minutes for a doctors to come in is countless. read more

after 2 office visits, this office is incapable of writing a correct prescription and send it to the correct pharmacy this office sends my prescriptions to a pharmacy instead of my instructions to send to a mail order...a 90 day supply they cant do the math for a 90 day supply of medication taken twice/ day....meaning if I take a medication 2x a day, a 90 supply means 180 pills....I only get a 45 day supply INCOMPETENT read more

Terrible experience here at this office! Had a 2:40pm appt. called into the examining room at 2:45. Sat in the examining room till 4:10. When I went to find out what the problem was and why I wasn't being seen, I was told by some very unfriendly people that I couldn't walk the hallway! I needed to get back to the examining room! As if my time is not as worthy as theirs. I demanded to know why I was waiting so long! Answer: Sorry only two doctors are on staff today! Dr. Yu came in at 4:10, didn't apologize until I demanded one! Lol! Terrible awful personality on this doctor. Talking down to me telling me I couldn't walk the hallways! Just awful! Left there with my blood pressure through the roof! Worst experience ever! And I've been a patient for 25 years!!! Time to change primary care physician I guess. Very disappointing. read more

Front desk ladies chastised me for walking in to ask for COVID test....they need to read the sign on door which says IF you have COVID symptoms to call from parking lot....I did not have symptoms, just told I had been with someone who had tested positive. Anyhow I was handed a post it note with phone number to make appointment . I called from parking lot, put on hold after explaining to woman who answered why I called and that I was asked to call from parking lot. After holding a few minutes, was told that they do not do COVID testing ...could have said that when I walked in, saved me aggravation and the need to vent on Yelp. They also had no recommendation to make as to where to go for testing. I will not be making WEsthampton primary care center a place I will go again. read more

They have the WORST policy of "walk ins only" on Saturdays. It doesn't matter if you are a regular client that has been coming for over 20 years, if it's a Saturday, people from off the street (non-patients) get preferential treatment over regular patients. Nasty receptionist, horrible policies. There are plenty of walk in clinics/urgent care centers in our areas so I do not understand their reason for doing this other than more money in their pocket. Need to look for another primary care ASAP. read more

Probably the worst primary care I've ever been too. Even if you have an apt, get ready to wait 2+ hours and the faculty is clueless. Meds always get screwed up. Dr yoo and an NP try to educate you and talk down to you on your injury or illness. Do not use WH prime care. Totally un professional staff. read more

Westhampton Primary Care Center - Now waiting 2 1/2 hrs and no doctor, un believeable - Medical Centers Near Me - Westhampton Beach, New York

Unfortunately I have not had one good experience with Westhampton primary care and now I'll be going elsewhere. I called to make an appointment due to a relentless cough that I had for about 5 days, when I called they told me anyone with a "cold" symptom has to be seen virtually. I scheduled the appointment with "Lisa" wasn't even a doctor but I was desperate to be seen -I waited on the phone for 40 minutes just to be seen virtually. Lisa gave me a steroid and told me to take mucinex and if not better in 5 days to call and she will prescribe me a antibiotic. Fast forward to 5 days later I'm better but not 100% so I called never heard back, I called the next day and they told me I would have to schedule another virtual appointment. I don't understand how you can properly diagnose a patient virtually??? Your not listening to my lungs or giving me a proper exam virtually - I mean this is my PCP and they refuse to see me? Really? The women on the phone was extremely agitated when I said virtual is pointless. I almost feel like reporting them to my insurance company because I feel as though they just try to hit your insurance for everything. I'm not the only person feeling this way as I have spoke to others with same experience. Needless to say I will have to go to urgent care where at least they won't refuse to see me. WPC is extremely unprofessional and not helpful. It infuriates me that they won't see me who by the way is an established patient. I would not recommend going here! read more

If I could rate this 0 stars I absolutely would. The care that my mother received at Westhampton Primary Care yesterday was absolutely disgusting, unprofessional, and inexcusable. The woman who saw my mother was a "substitute" who gasped when she showed her the tick bite that was already scaring her. She repeatedly told my mother to "hurry up" and exclaimed that it was her "first day". My family has been coming here for at least ten years. I'm not sure what's going on at Westhampton Primary Care where they need to hire "substitutes" that are completely disrespectful and unprofessional but I would probably look elsewhere for care if you're looking for actual CARE instead of someone looking for a paycheck. read more

This review goes back awhile. Same doctors different location. I was suddenly ill with fever and bacterial infection. Needed antibiotics (which worked quickly once I got them elsewhere) and went as a walk in. Arrived early morning and waited for them to open. Two people ahead of me. Nasty lady at the desk seemed to have a lot of resentment towards many patients. I know because I sat suffering drooped over in a chair for 8 hours and was never taken to see a doctor. Even when the waiting room was empty for a couple of hours and I could see the staff and doctor down the hall hanging around chatting. The nasty lady behind the desk would not allow me to see the doctor, not even when I begged her to let me see a doctor. The thing is if she looked she would have seen that I (and my family) have gone there about once every year or two since they opened and I was a returning patient not just a walk in that she seemed to enjoy abusing. The doctors mentioned in other reviews are very good, staff on Riverhead Road horrible, mean and nasty but the wonderful doctors did nothing to fix that problem. read more

Both myself AND my husband had no or misdiagnoses when we went to this place (at different times for different things). They seem to know nothing even when presented with typical symptoms of particular ailments. My husband had symptoms typical of Lyme, he mentioned that he worked outside, AND he asked if it could be Lyme. They sent him home with allergy medicine without testing him for Lyme...which he ended up having as we had suspected. We BOTH had to google our symptoms and go back armed with the correct information so that they could then diagnose us correctly. Do not waste your time or your money! They really know nothing and they don't listen to you. read more

My child was a walk-in on a Sat because he was sick when we were on vacation. We waited OVER two hours to see the doctor and the office wasn't the least bit crowded. The family that came in after us (also with a sick child) was in and out in less than half an hour (they were fortunate to see the nurse practitioner we later learned.) When we inquired about this, it was denied by all at first, and then eventually admitted to with little apology. Once the doctor saw us (he was also completely unapologetic about the wait), he spent a good a good amount of time with my child which we appreciated and he seemed competent and knowledgeable; however, he gave us a lot of information specifically about vitamin D (which had nothing to do with my child's illness) which was completely discredited by our own pediatrician in NYC when we returned home. Also, when I later called to follow up about paying the bill - surprise, surprise - the staff member who took my credit card information was incredibly rude! My recommendation would be to go somewhere else if at all possible! read more
