If you're considering Westfields Marriott for your wedding or even just for a weekend stay, you won't be disappointed! My husband and I had our wedding here and we can confidently say it was one of the best decisions we made during the entire planning process. There have been plenty of reviews in the last few months that show off how awesome this hotel looks after its recent renovation, so I'll focus on our personal experience. From the very beginning, the staff at Westfields Marriott went above and beyond to make our day feel special. Every request, no matter how big or small, was met with care and attention to detail. It was clear that they really wanted our day to feel like ours. One of the things we loved most was how convenient everything was. They offer in-house lighting and food options (both of which were great), and they provide a thorough list of recommended vendors to make the planning process as stress free as possible. We worked with Steve Hiscutt as our events manager and we can't say enough great things about him. :) He was consistently responsive, thoughtful, and genuinely cared about making sure we were happy every step of the way. His level of professionalism and kindness made a world of difference. All in all, I highly recommend staying at Westfields Marriott, and if you're looking for a wedding venue with beautiful spaces and a caring, detail oriented staff, this is absolutely the place!

This is such a lovely establishment. The customer service was fantastic, the staff were friendly, knowledgeable and accommodating. The room was lovely- very clean area, fresh and had a beautiful view of the trees. The amenities were nice and I enjoyed the indoor heated pool and outdoor patio area. There is also an onsite restaurant but also other places to eat closeby. I would absolutely stay again!

My favorite goto Marriott in this area, it has a stately and elegant feel to it. The parking is a bit far of a walk which either in heat of summer or snowy winter can be a bit of a strain to slog through the woods - otherwise it's quite charming actually rest of the year! Rooms are nice although have that old world charm. Pub and food or breakfast if you qualify at Wellington's is pretty good option.

What a nice touch. The light was left on to welcome me in the room.

Ventured here again and found it as charming as before. I had the breakfast buffet at Wellington's and it was a step above other buffets--had lox, cheeses (brie) in addition to the scrambled eggs, crispy bacon, breakfast potatoes, fruit, oatmeal. Service was great. Check-in, at the restaurant, and even leaving. To save me some steps, a person who looked like he worked there took my keys for me. I am glad he did since I was running late, but then later I thought about it and hoped it was a legit handoff. All in all it was a nice stay.

The only reason I stayed at this hotel was for a conference which happened to be held at the hotel. Based on my experience, I will not consider going back to this hotel on my personal time. First off--the rooms are day‐ted, very dated. So much so when you walk into the room it has a smell similiar to when you walk into a Goodwill store. The nice thing about the hotel room is that they have windows that you can open, which I did upon arrival to let the room air out. To be fair, the rooms are big and can easily accommodate a party of four but that's it in terms of good room features. On the second day, I discovered black ants in the upper right hand corner of the room. I told the cleaning lady and the she asked if I wanted to change rooms. I thought that was nice but what I didn't know was that she and the rest of the cleaning crew are used to hearing this complaint. I read some other reviews after I posted mine and saw where other hotel guests had complained about the same issue. I took a picture and showed the front desk and they acted surprised as if it was the first time they had seen it. The iron I used leaked out so much water that it COVERED the ironing board leaving an absolute mess to deal with. I took a video and showed the front desk and tried to upload to the video to this review, to no avail. The cleaning service wasn't consistent. It was good one day but not the next, and so on. I stayed at the hotel for three nights. The lighting in the hotel room was so dim. In fact the whole room was just short of being dark even during the day. Even the bathroom lights were dim. I had a hard time putting on make-up and getting dressed in general. The banquet food was poor quality. Anyone having a wedding here, beware! And they had the nerve to serve chicken apple sausage as the main breakfast meat. It was very odd.

Very spacious hotel with multiple wings. Seems like there was a wedding there. Has a gym, indoor, and outdoor pools. Rooms were lovely, beds were comfortable, and the bathroom was clean. Overall great stay.

This was my first time staying here. I flew back to the IAD Dulles airport after 9 pm. I investigated and reserved a local IAD airport hotel to stay overnight prior to my drive home. I had a complimentary Marriott hotel night stay up to 35k points, therefore, I stayed here using my 35k Marriott points. The hotel is about 10 miles away from IAD, which took about 15 minutes to drive from IAD to the hotel. This is a convention/conference hotel. The hotel is located in a wooded area. They also host weddings. It is a very nice large hotel in this area with lots of property and parking for events. The nearest self parking lot was full, therefore I had to park at the furthest away parking lot down the hill. That was inconvenient since I was tired from my travels. The hotel lobby is quite large and nice. See my pics. My check-in went smoothly. Our king bedroom was nice overlooking a wooded area. We were hungry, but the restaurant was closed therefore we opted to enjoy some cocktails at the Wellington restaurant and bar adjacent to the hotel lobby. I slept well. In the morning we enjoyed a complimentary breakfast at the Wellington. More to come regarding our experiences at the Wellington bar and restaurant. My check out went smoothly. I will stay here again.

These trees had a lot of wildlife

This property is very pretty and a nice respite from the city environments we had been at during the first 6 days of our 9 day vacation. There are a lot of lush greens and beautiful roses around the property. The local wildlife was interesting to watch through the window of our room and I even saw a cardinal in real life for the first time ever. It was easy to drive into and also an easy drive to both the shopping centers in the area and to the villages of Virginia. The hotel itself is a bit dated. It's decorated like grand hotels of the past, which I found quaint and cute. The room we stayed in was in the west wing, on the first floor, at the literal end of the wing. It was a longer walk to our room than it was to the parking lot. However, there are exit doors near our room that led directly to the parking lot, so that was convenient. The only thing not convenient was that they were exit only. I understand for safety, you should have more exits than entrances but it would be nice if they could add a card reader so we could easily get to our room. Our room was large, clean with an amazing view of the front drive and a big tree (which we saw the cardinal at.) There were no frills and it certainly was dated. The coffee machine was in the middle of the room, on a small table. I don't know what they are thinking here, but this isn't it. The shower was nice but when we ran it the first time, all of the water came out the back (even though I'm insane about shutting the curtain because I don't like air in my shower) and when I stepped out, there was water all over the floor. We called the front desk for more towels and they were there very quickly with more. This was a much different experience than the long wait I had while checking in. I guess that wasn't exactly their fault, as the other person checking in was being a bit of a Karen and all employees were dealing with her but don't just ignore other guests because of it. That's how you'll get me to turn into one. I was hoping this portion of our time would be quiet and peaceful, given the location but there were two weddings happening the weekend we stayed. While it may be great to be part of the wedding, it isn't to not be. We were blocked from entering and exiting a lot. I mean the crowds parted when we screamed, "excuse me!" but it was still annoying. There were photoshoots everywhere so we had to constantly wait for them to be done shooting. At one point, I just photobombed the bride and groom, I was so over it. There was a lot of partying and screaming well into the early morning. So, would I stay here again? Maybe not. But is it a nice place? Certainly.

Most of my experience here was great. Pool and hot tub are relaxing. Woman's steam room and gym are good. The concierge / doorman / valet - all 5 stars. Fitness center with Peloton bike was perfect. I stayed Wed-Fri night this week for work. Thursday after working all day I came back to my room with water dripping from my bathroom ceiling. Front desk was slow to respond. I asked to be transferred as the water all over my floor. Not only did the front desk person lie and tell me they had no vacant rooms, they never apologized, never offered me a bottle of water, and expected me to stay two more nights in the leaky room. After 45 minute wait they finally transferred me to a new room.

But still, compared to numerous other hotels that I considered spanning a wide geographic area, this one was a success. It's reasonably close to the airport and highway, but a quiet area. There are a couple of decent food businesses nearby. The green certification suggests that there is a reason why elevators are limited, but I had no trouble navigating the place with my luggage. I was surprised by how big my room was, and things were spotless and climate control and amenities worked. A basic hotel that just has what you need and isn't falling apart is harder to find than you'd think.

(There's…read moretwo La Quintas in Manassas, we were at the newer one with the gray exterior and small parking lot next to used car dealer trailers.) After 3 days there, I could not stay at that hotel any longer. It was worth it to lose the money by leaving early. Thankfully, this hotel had some rooms open. Not having stayed here before, I was hesitant to book solely off the good reviews because that's how we made the awful decision to stay at the Manassas La Quinta. Fake reviews are EVERYWHERE these days, and the La Quinta disaster made me even more wary about an establishment that seems to have a flood of top ratings with very few negatives. It actually made me feel better to find some 'realistic' reviews on a few sites-- made me feel more confident that the staff isn't responsible for all the "happy happy" reviews and I felt this hotel wasn't going through and flooding or deleting any negative comments. I'm SO glad I switched to stay here. My experience has been absolutely pleasant so far, my room is actually clean, the staff I've interacted with so far knows what they're doing, and they have multiple contact info available for multiple managerial staff if you need assistance. I don't anticipate needing to do so, but I have never thought to check for this in the past. Learned that the hard way at the La Quinta, so it was very reassuring to walk into the Residence Inn and see real staff (trained, knowledgeable and intelligent staff) along with business cards for managers and supervisors. I wish we would have stayed here from the beginning. The other hotel ruined our trip so far, but our stay at the Residence Inn has really turned things around. Kudos to their training department and to the on-site staff. You are much appreciated!!

While check-in went fine, the rest of our experience was extremely disappointing and far below what we expected from a Hilton property, especially during such an important time. The night before the wedding, my guests and I felt genuinely unwelcome in the lobby and lounge areas. Staff repeatedly approached us with unnecessary restrictions, including telling us we couldn't drink White Claws from the can even though the hotel sells the exact same product at the bar, and telling us we couldn't take pictures in the lobby. This created an uncomfortable atmosphere for what should have been a celebratory moment. On the morning of the wedding, things became even worse. While I was getting ready for the ceremony, the front desk repeatedly called my hotel phone demanding that I complete a credit card authorization form for mimosas we had planned for the bridal party. I didn't receive the authorization form until 10:18 AM the same day, which is unacceptable given that this should have been handled well in advance. My card was already on file from check-in, and the staff knew it was my wedding morning, yet the calls continued. This was an unnecessary and stressful disruption. To make matters worse, despite explicitly instructing them to charge the card on my room and completing the authorization form with that same card, the hotel charged a completely different card--my wife's personal card from her separate room the night before. That card was never authorized for these charges, and we were never given an itemized bill explaining the charges. My wife and her bridesmaids also felt uncomfortable and scrutinized by staff. They were told they couldn't have food in the conference room we booked and again told they couldn't take pictures in the lobby. Instead of being met with hospitality and grace on a day meant to be joyful and memorable, they felt restricted and unwelcome. Overall, the lack of hospitality, the inconsistent and unnecessary rules, the disruptions on the morning of the wedding, and the mishandling of our billing made this an extremely negative experience. This was supposed to be a once-in-a-lifetime weekend for us and our guests, and the hotel added stress instead of support. I hope management takes these issues seriously so future guests, especially wedding parties, don't go through the same treatment. After our stay, we attempted to resolve these concerns through multiple channels, including calling the hotel directly and contacting Hilton Corporate. The only response we received was that an itemized bill would be sent to us and that no further compensation or remediation would be provided with no real apology for our experience. We still have not received the itemized bill we were promised, which only adds to the frustration and lack of professionalism we experienced throughout this process.
