Amscot's company policies and customer service are terrible. Employees treat you like a liar and a…read morecriminal when you pick up Western Union. If you get "too many" WU transfers, they interrogate you and require proof as to why you need the money. ONE EXAMPLE: I was denied a $220 WU from my boyfriend's mom, who was sending money almost daily to help cover the enormous vet bills for our sick dog (spider bite). We know- she is awesome, but I digress... The "manager" behind the counter asked "why doesn't she just send it all at once?" I said the totals varied daily based on the healing process. She said I needed to provide an invoice from my vet as proof. Unfortunately I don't just carry vet bills around in my back pocket. I offered pics of Bella in her cast, but she just laughed. Frankly, it's none of their business why someone is sending me money- even if they send it everyday. As to why she was sending money to me, and not my boyfriend? As a side note, my boyfriend and I did go back to Amscot later the same day to show them the original surgery invoice and file a formal complaint. No surprise the manager "just stepped out on break" and the only decent employee was left to apologize his way around her bad customer service. Don't waste your time going to Amscot; they aren't helpful, and their smugness and judgement is insufferable.
