It took longer than I had liked to get a response, but I did hear back from them. I was told to call the office or send an email; so, I emailed them a short description of the work with a picture. The entire process of getting an estimate took 2 business days. I requested an estimate via Yelp Sunday afternoon and received their bid Tuesday afternoon. I decided not to go with Bode's Electric because their estimate was on the higher side among the several estimates I received. In fact, their estimate along with a few others were significantly higher than a couple of bids from other companies in town (more than double). Note: Although they are listed as different companies, Bode's and West Mechanical appear to be the same company. We compared Ecotech's bids to those of three other companies, and Ecotech won on total capacity, price per watt, and being easy to deal with. The install crew were great to have around, they kept us apprised of their progress, always completing each step on time. The permitting process was 100% taken care of by Ecotech, as was contacting PSE to have our system added, our net metering agreement, and having our meter swapped out. There are some sketchy practices in the solar industry, from solar loans with massive fees, to high pressure sales tactics. Ecotech avoids all of these. No pressure, no crazy loan schemes. At the end of the day, we have an amazing system that will provide 100% of our power for years to come. Cory and his team did all the paperwork necessary for the building permit, electrical inspections, and paperwork for the BC Hydro rebate and would have walked me through financing had I decided to go that route. Torin and Connor the install team showed up and over the next two days took care of my installation and each day left as if they had never been here. The electrical contractors that they had were also super efficient and answered any questions that I had. I would have no hesitation in recommending Solve energy.

If you have any issues at all after installation, including damage to your roof, they are next to impossible to get a hold of, and probably impossible to get a resolution. I wish we had gone with a different company for the panels, or none at all, after our experience. If you want to test their phone line for any issue outside of "new business", before you sign with them, you will quickly see that you can't get a human on the line, the bot goes in circles. Emailing them is just as bad.

They installed our system in summer of 2024 and we have never regretted it. When the Skagit Valley has big storms or high winds, the power goes out, and they designed our backup battery system to manage all of our must haves for poe, like refrigerator, garage doors, some key lights, our wifi, septic system etc. In other words, when the power went, out we barely noticed. Brad and his team answered all of our questions before we committed, and were available for any after-installation questions or hit list items, of which there were only a few.
