And we have a 21 year old Jeep, so repairs are frequent. When something didn't NEED to be fixed, they said so. When a different mechanic put a belt on wrong that was making a funny noise, they fixed it in 5 minutes for free. When we had a gas leak that I was prepared to pay hundreds of dollars to fix, they fixed it in an hour or so for $40. The bottom line is after two years of honest service, I trust the guys here to be straight with me and to never jack up a price or tell me a problem is worse than it is. I once needed an oil change, and had hit the bottom of my car on a large rock, cracking the metal housing of the oil filter. He showed this to me, and at that point said that there was no need for repair immediately, but to begin saving for about $400 in parts and labor. Sure enough, some 8 months one time I brought it in for an oil change and the crack had grown enough to no longer keep the oil filter contained, so he fixed it when it needed to be fixed. Both times he showed me the issue and explained it to me. He will go out of his way to work with single parents on fixed income etc.
