I really like this place. Super nice people. And this is the closest place outside of a city…read morewhere I can find an Asian market. The selection is pretty wide for its size, but it's still pretty limited. To be honest, I wish they had some stuff like tobiko and masago, or Chelsea candy, or Meltykiss. On a positive note, they have dumplings, baozi, and xiaolongbao with pork filling. All the dumplings I find in western grocery stores are filled with chicken, and honestly, that's pretty much the same crime as a tofurkey. You want real dumplings? Get pork dumplings. I wish they had them in like... 5 lb bags like you can find in Kam Man up in Quincy, though. They have a lot of the more popular selections, with wider varieties, as well. Lots of ramune, many, many types of noodles, shiro and awase miso (I think they also have aka miso, but I didn't notice), lots of teas. I think I also saw some big bags of rice cakes for making tteokbokki. Also, if you like making food from scratch for yourself, they have a pretty good selection of harder to find ingredients. Like, different types of soy sauces, calamansi juice, star anise, etc. They even have kansui if you want to make ramen from scratch. I'll be coming here more often in the future.

Ethnic food shopping can be frustrating especially when you're looking for something in particular. Another huge improvement- credit/debit payments! Minimum purchase of $15. New Point Of Sale for itemized receipts. Like I've said earlier- freshly cooked meats, and veggies, and pastries ($2 for various baked pastries) every Thursday. My family goes nuts for the baked roast pork buns. They're 8 small buns for $7.50. Heat them up for like 40 seconds. As for the bbq meats they may have roast pork (cha sieu), fire roasted pig (lechon), roasted duck, soy sauced chicken, salted chicken, white cut chicken (ba chi gai) and others depending on availability. For the fire roasted pig I suggest heating it up in a broiler, skin side up, on a low rack and watch it carefully. The skin will be perfectly crispy like chicharrones (pork rinds). I like that this place sells the veggies by the pound and you bag them yourself. Many times I've bought prepackaged veggies to find some not so fresh ones in the package. Also I don't like to buy that many veggies usually so I like to pick up just enough for what I need. Since the management change I have been here every Thursday. Glad to see the many needed upgrades!
