I bought a sewing machine from them a few years ago, took the machine in 4 weeks ago to have an…read moreoverhaul done, this is supposed to be a very quick process which turned out to take ages. Apparently a part needed to be replaced, it had worked before, and they didn't ask if I wanted the part replaced, they just told me it wasn't ready yet. So I thought this meant perhaps the part would be covered by them, potently wishful thinking but I wasn't to worried since the part was supposed to arrive very quickly and I wouldn't have been upset either way. After stopping by the shop multiple times, it was never ready, one day when I phoned they said it was, (after I had an unpleasant time with a fax noise the first time I tried to call, and was told rudely to call back in 5 minutes the second time I phoned.) They hadn't had the curtsy to phone me when it was ready, so it is on my mind of when they had actually fixed it; Or as it turns out replaced the part with their display model's. I'm not to upset about that, but I am upset about the fact that they charged me for the part. A part which has had tons of use on it already, that I waited 4 weeks to get, and that I had no notification had been placed in my machine and was ready for pick up. I also run a small business which requires the machine. They cost me a months worth of time. I will be finding another store for all my sewing needs from now on.

We are in the middle of a heat wave and of course the A/C breaks down. I expected a long wait as I…read moreknew I was likely not the only person in Thermo Tec's territory with this problem. I only had to wait a few hours and the Tech (sorry I didn't catch his name) was friendly, quick and efficient. Identified the problem and fixed it within what seemed like only a few minutes. We can now breathe a cool sigh of relief! Thank you Mike and the team!

I recently had a new gas furnace installed. I replaced my heat pump for a device that actually…read moreheats my house! I did keep the air conditioning portion. Thermo Tex did a good job, all quotes that I had were extremely high compared to other places across Canada. I have replaced several as I have lived in different places in Canada, and have done my research. The cost is almost double here in The Comox Valley, unfortunately that's the way it is! Enough of that, Thermo Tex did a good job, but would not install flue through the roof, that I had to sub-contract, they'd put it out the basement into your patio, so beware of this. Also, they custom made a filter channel, that fits no popular filter on the market. In fact the filter I pulled out was a 20x25 cut down and stapled,to fit my furnace. WTF am I supposed to do with that? They said they'd order a proper filter for me, that was 3months ago. I took furnace apart from plenum and made my own filter channel. Now I use a standard 20x24 that I can buy from Home Depot. They have not picked up the old furnace as well. What's with these guys. Once they have your money, it's friggin' goodbye! But I have heat now!
