I purchased a 6 laser session and they closed. No warning or refund. Shame on the owner.

It's very unfortunate to see a business who carried themselves with such class and customer service, close up shop without notifying customers, and taking those customers for thousands of dollars collectively. I, like many, had purchased an additional six visits for laser treatment at my last visit. The first of those six visits was scheduled, until I received an email stating that it had been canceled by the company with no further information. No one answers the phone or the online chat, and no one has had the decency to even post an update on the website. Tough time in the economy for people to be screwed by someone financially., and also, just terrible business practice. My package was purchased so recently, the business had to have known they were closing and collected anyway. Just do the right thing, folks. We need more good and honest people in the world right now. Wow I just had a great experience. I purchased 6xl areas of laser hair removal off Groupon. It was very easy to book online through Groupon which makes my life easier since I run a tight schedule. The check in was very easy and friendly. The PA was AWESOME (can't remember her name). I've had laser hair removal before from another place in Westchase and I didn't feel "warm or welcomed" there even though I had 9 sessions done and had Botox done several times. On top of that I was VERY happy knowing that their "areas" are much larger than last place I went to. Nicer environment and better value in my opinion. Poor quality botox after 1st month I called complained, they saw me and applied more botox I paid $400.00 for both visits, a month later I called and spoke with Mgr didn't last 2 months, after speaking with Mgr I asked to be corrected was told they will not. I had 2 separate ladies for each session and examine all though, the 1st time the botox around the eyes lasted longer and the 2nd time. But I don't want her to get in trouble. I think i may have less units of botox used, so that's on me:). That's cool. Who knows, all I know is that I love med spa!!!! I went there my 1st time and I won't go anywhere else. I came here for 6 sessions of laser hair removal! It's true that you have to book far in advance, but laser hair is a lengthy treatment regardless as each appointment needs to be 6-8 weeks apart. The machines here are very new and virtually painless, especially compared to laser hair removal I've had elsewhere (years ago). If you can handle it I recommend asking them to put the machine on a higher setting to see better results in less sessions. Purchase groupons/vouchers from this spa at your own risk. The management ran another spa, closed it down(taking their clients' money), and then opened a new spa and claimed that it was totally new management that had only purchased some assets from the previous spa(Ridgway Aesthetics). The management is 100% the same, this information is easily confirmed via a Google search. They tried to keep the $500 I paid them for which they would not provide an appointment. Thankfully I paid with a credit card, and they took the proof I gave them. I paid for a service in November, and only had one appointment before they closed out of nowhere. It was months before they "relocated," and they would still not schedule appointments. When I asked for a refund, they would not provide one stating that they had no association with the previous business, although Dawn Ridgway(the person I paid) is still associated with this spa. When I originally purchased my groupon, they were going by 3D Vaser. Within a couple of months they changed to Ridgway Aesthetics. And now they're Westchase spa. Again, simply google the names of any of the management(including Tamara, who left a 5 star review for her own spa), and see for yourself. These people are scam artists. read more

I came here to have a few spider views removed. It was clean, professional & had a good staff. The procedure was painless. I wish they had taken before & after shots, it was amazing what they did. Unfortunately, within 4 months 1 on the viens reappeared. Don't know everything about the procedure & how it works exactly. I just know one was miraculously gone & unfortunately the other one returned....maybe this is normal? I don't think so, but stranger things have happened. What's a girl to do? Every appointment I had (9), They were running behind and I had to wait 20 to 60 minutes !!!! You can't reach them on the phone , and their turnaround time to call you back after leaving message after message, is about two weeks !!!!!!! Wish I would've looked them up on yelp before buying a groupon or even called them. Bought a groupon for 6/7 sessions of laser and when I called them and they finally got back to me (didn't answer the first two calls because they were busy with other clients) they were booked out 3 weeks. Groupon wouldn't let me get a refund or trade in the voucher so wasted $100 for nothing. I had to reschedule my first appointment because work keeps me traveling and when I rescheduled it was again an additional 3 weeks out. So at this point over a month almost 2 of trying to get seen for my first consultation. Finally the appointment I had I wasn't sure I was going to make because I was stuck in a layover and thought I'd fly in around midnight being able to make my 930 appointment but because the flight was canceled all together I missed the appointment. They did inform me there would be a fee for canceling because it was less than 24 hours but considering my circumstances and how hard it was to book an appointment here I had to bite the bullet and waste $100 plus a additional cancellation fee. Being a big yelper I wish I would have read these reviews because this was a big waste of time and money and my first impression was awful. This business needs to hire more staff or expand if they are that backed up with appointments. No flexibility and sent me all the documents the evening before the appointment when I was stuck trying to get back in the city. read more

I purchased a Groupon with them for a Brazilian laser hair removal package about a year and a half ago. I completed my 6 session package and have been doing back for touch-ups as needed ever since. The lady who does my laser is very professional and gets it done quick! The spa is peaceful and clean. I would recommend booking your laser appointments in advance, because they book up quickly, but I've never had a problem making an appointment. I would recommend this spa! read more

And not only that but the last session I had for laser hair removal they burned me, they burned several moles I had and I had open wounds for days. I sent several emails and messages on their website and never got a response back. They also burned my tattoo on my armpit and didn't even tell me. I noticed bc of the burning. I'm not sure why there are such bad reviews.... I have no problem booking appointments, they even have a live person call to remind you about your appointment time. I've been SUPER late (mixed up my appt time in my planner) and they still saw me. I've been visiting Westchase Medspa for about four months now. The owner seems very nice and often on site. Lana does an awesome job - she provided 3 micro-needling sessions and one laser treatment for scars and capillaries on my face. AMAZING results. She is very consultative and I trust her opinion completely. If she says a treatment will address a concern of mine, I find a way to get it done! As a dark-skinned person, I've read many places that laser hair removal is difficult without the right laser. After calling about 5 small-business spas in Tampa, I found this one to be the only one with the Yag laser (one of the few recommended lasers to successfully do LHR on darker skin). I purchased a groupon and went in for my 1st package of treatments over a year ago. After my 4th, I was pleased with the results and bought a 2nd package for a different area. I have now completed both packages. Understanding the limitations of LSH (it's permanent-ish, there will be some re-growth, it's not really effective on light hair so gray hair will get through), I am happy with the results of my treatments. I'd like to go back for a 3rd package. I give this a 4 because I did have a few hiccups. During these 2 packages, I had 4 different technicians. Esme and Sarah rock! They reviewed notes from my previous sessions, always asked about any problems since previous sessions, made adjustments to my settings based on my observations, etc. They were thorough and seemed to care. I had another lady who seemed afraid to touch my "girly bits" but, really, if you know you're lasering me there, either touch it or don't schedule yourself for those appointments. It doesn't make sense that I would be more comfortable holding my own buttcheeks open while you play around with a laser back there. I can't see that area under the best of circumstances... which NEVER involves lasers! Also, there was a period when they were really busy and it was difficult to get a time that worked for me and them so I ended up scheduling 3 months out one time. Once I got there and waited for 15 minutes before having to go to the desk and find a person because they missed the fact that I was there and signed in. (In the new space, the receptionist can't see people sitting in the waiting area.) In general, I had no problem getting in touch with them via phone but their online scheduling never seemed to work for me. read more

I've been going to Westchase Medspa for over 3 years. I've had multiple microneedling sessions, Erbium Skin Resurfacing and mini-microdermabrasions. I started going here with a Groupon special and was so pleased with the treatments and the staff that I continue going to this medspa even though I live in St Petersburg. An early experience taught me they stand behind their work. I had tried a series of RF skin tightening and was not pleased with the results, or rather the complete lack of results. When I spoke to Tamara, the owner, she provided another whole series of the RF sessions free to see if I could get some results. I didn't but it could be that I'm pretty senior and the skin just doesn't want to snap back. I've had great results with microneedling and the Erbium skin resurfacing, and my favorite esthetician is Elly. She is both skilled and friendly and I know she cares about me and the results I get from the skin treatments. The have a couple great sales a year (summer and Christmas) and I stock up on my favorite treatments then. I see the overall score for the medspa is being affected by reviews in 2013 and 2014. I've been going there since 2016 and have never experienced any unpleasant or rude staff. They are busy so you may not be able to get an appointment quickly, but I just learned to call a couple weeks ahead. read more

Unfortunately, my experience with this med spa was not favorable. I went to have a few moles removed and the one right in the middle of my face is still there. I was just informed that if I want it removed again that it will cost me $75 more. I've gone to dermatologists etc. for many years and have never had such a small mole take more than one zap. I'm very disappointed they won't make the necessary correction without charging me for another complete appt. The before photo taken should clearly help in this matter. However, they refuse to do anything unless I pay $75 for another appt. I don't have it. I shouldn't need to pay twice for such a small surface area mole to be removed. They did honor a groupon offer which I appreciate. However, the fact that they insist it takes more than one visit to remove just a surface mole and another $75 fee to zap it in less than 5 minutes is leaving me in the position that I'm stuck with it. I had my new patient paperwork forms filled out when I arrived. Was handed a clipboard with forms to complete. Made the mistake of not clarifying this when I arrived. The clock started ticking for the 15 minutes they allotted for the appt. and I was in the waiting room instead of back in the chair for treatment. I respect their valuable time. Mine is valuable also. I've already referred family and friends to this business. Don't understand why they won't even make an effort to do the right thing. It would help them build their client base if they did that instead. I know there are more important things in life than having a few moles. I'm dealing with those. I saved up $$ for the initial appt. and went to them to have them removed. I'm finding it difficult to grasp and very disappointing how they are choosing to handle this situation. I want to give it more stars because I believe in supporting businesses. However, the way they have chosen to handle this isn't acceptable. If they would do the right thing and at least offer to come back in for less than a full appt. that would have settled the issue in a much professional manner. I originally purchased a voucher from Living Social for laser hair removal. I left 2 messages regarding making an appointment...no call back. I called again, spoke with someone and made an appointment. The appointment went great and I was offered a special to purchase an additional area of treatment, which I did. When I left, I was told that they could not schedule my next appointment until the doctor gave them a schedule; I would be put on a call-back list. You guessed it, I never received a call back. After 5 weeks (my bad) I called to make my next appointment and was told there were no openings for another 6 weeks. I asked to speak to a manager and was told someone would call me back. You guessed it again...no call back. I finally called again and made an appointment...for 8 weeks out. I would not purchase from this facility again. read more

Do NOT buy a Groupon from this place. They are selling Groupons right now for Laser Hair removal. I bought a Groupon back in February from Ridgeway who at the time said they were moving and would contact me when they opened. Months later Westchase was sending me emails stating I was to schedule with them, but they were unable to do so until May 1st. I called May 1st and they said they wouldn't be ready until next week. I received an email a few days later asking for times I would be available for tx. I gave them M-F 9-1:30. Eight days later I receive another email stating they are "trying" to schedule as quickly as possible. I now see they are selling more Groupons. DO NOT BUY THEM!! I am attempting to get my money back from Groupon. I have never had this problem before with a Groupon. When I stated this to the receptionist she said has heard of lots of problems with Groupons. I paid them on December 20 while they had apparently rented a spot from the place down the street and took my money gladly. I had an appointment with them in February and on a Thursday before my appointment on that Friday they called me and said they were moving to a new place and painting all the walls. FinalIy I got in touch with them and have been advised from DANIEL, SHANNON and DAWN that I would be refunded on several different phone calls. On JUNE 21, DAWN was supposed to have called me back with a final answer after I asked to speak with Tamara, the supposidely owner, and demanded a full refund.
