Grateful for their help!

We got a gash in a tire on a dirt road and limped our way 30 miles to Green River, stopping every few miles to pump more air into the leaky tire. The most polite, professional and kind young man helped us find the source of the leak--unfortunately in the sidewall. While they did not have a replacement tire for us, he did put on the donut so we could make our way to Grand Junction, and refused payment. We are very grateful for the good service we received. We'd give this business 5 stars but for the fact that employees were not wearing masks. (However, the truck stop store strictly enforces the mask mandate for employees and customers, and that was lovely.)

Stayed one night in Green River, UT. Went to two gas stations in town. West Winds Truck Stop was one of them. Filled up the gas tank. Price was about the same as the other stations in town. Being as we were a bit hungry, we bought some chicken tenders. It was pricey, but they were not bad. Satisfied our tummies enough to last until dinner time. I would stop in again to fill up the gas tank. Will browse more of the shop next time.

For being a local restaurant that's tucked between a White Knight Inn & a truck stop gas station, they were great. Service was pleasant, food was prepared accordingly and it was clean. Only issue I saw was the carpet going to the restrooms was bubbled and could be a hazard to children or the elderly.

Stop in for expired snacks!

Had a long screw in a trailer tire and they fixed it in five minutes. He said no charge but I gave him twenty for a beer or two. Nice guys.

I work in Moab which is how I found Curtis through google search. Unfortunately to say Moab has a…read morelack of amenities and services is understatement. It's slim pickings for anything . I hired him for brakes and an oil change prior. And now I can't help but doubt he used the correct oil. I trust people and give them the benefit of the doubt and with mechanic I'd hope they'd be honest if the problem I'm explaining is out of their realm. I reached out and told Curtis I'm having a new noise from the rear differential and the side of my Mercedes RV. I sent him screenshots of google possibilities including checking transmission oil and cleaning out EKG. Neither of which was touched because Mercedes doesn't come with a dipstick and he didn't have one for my vehicle. he told me it sounded like my U-joint. He did end up under my vehicle but didn't mention if it was my U-joint or if he'd addressed it . He did set up the T Torx and cleaner for my EKG and left me there to do it while he took a break saying he could fix whatever I did wrong but I was intimidated to remove anything so that didn't get done .I was at work when he showed up to start on my RV. When I got out at 6 pm it was still broiling hot as we are in the 100s right now. So now after work I'm standing in heat getting baked helping him brainstorm using google. He had jacks under the RV and is starting to tell me all these issues I didn't have before. All of a sudden my engine light is on and my brake is going down to the floor and he says that's not right . My shifting is rough and my engine won't even start now . It ran fine for me on my four hours trip just with a noise and now he's got a bucket of new problems I didn't have . I told him I just got my rear differential built not so long ago and he tells me how so many men love to take advantage of a female and use control. I got irritated when after working for 8 hours and now standing in the sun for hours he starts talking about life more than he's doing anything . I tried to discourage this by standing facing under my hood. I help him bring his items, tools, jacks to his shuttle bus so we can do a test drive and it's almost 9 pm now. The test drive killed me. My Rv acted like it was going to need to be towed back to where I'm working . He used the OBD port on my drivers side to get codes and was writing them down and telling me which gear to shift to and my RV sounded like my motor was going to blow up and be broken down and I couldn't believe how it got way worse then what I reached out to him for . He knows I make $20 an hour and he tells me his bill will be affordable . I'm getting ill from stress at this point since my 2019 Rv is acting ruined and he's messing with his ODB port and computer and all of a sudden he says he thinks my stress will go away and it starts shifting right and we drive back to my Rv site and he says he will brainstorm that night and come back tomorrow. He didn't come back and reached out later in the day asking if it's shifting good. I drove up to front of property and told him it is. Was a five minute drive to start work. He sends me bill for $320 which I pay. After work I drive to Grand junction because I try to get toward cooler temps on my days off . Well the original noise is still there from the rear. What I reached out to him for is still there as well as all the stress of whatever he performed that made it act way worse affecting the rig. Exactly as it was before I baked in hot sun with him after work brainstorming problems .So now I'm out $320 with same problem. My coworkers gave me the stink eye when they learned I called on him again. When I hired him for oil change he left intake valve disconnected and I had no power entering hwy 191 amongst semi trucks. Cost me driving back and forth twice and losing two hours .My coworker used screwdriver to tighten clamp back but returning to hwy same problem. Other side needed to be popped in too which Curtis ended up driving out to me for. I was super forgiving but after wasting $320 not so much .

Curtis was fantastic. Helped us out of a bind on a Sunday when our check engine light came on and…read morewe needed spark plugs replaced. He came to us, fixed the car while we ate lunch, and we were on our way. Great service, and he didn't price gouge us for service on a Sunday either, like another mechanic was going to do. Five stars!
