The students were awesome, friendly and welcoming before, during and after the game. The stadium itself was very nice, clean and modern. The artificial turf was great, the snack bar was AWESOME!!, the restrooms were clean and the seats were comfortable with great views of the field no matter where you were seated. It would have been nice to have left with a win however, our group still had a great time.

The whole class was a group of wonderful, supportive people! The campus, the food, the other students, and teachers and staff all leant to the overall spirit of the week, which was one of unity, respect and joy. There were curated lunch and evening lectures and music that also contributed to the richness and wealth of knowledge that I felt being shared. Over the past 2 years what we have encountered in this school is troublesome. We have a teacher who calls the students stupid. Not to their faces, to other students! What a shining example for Ms the Newspaper/Yearbook and English teacher to set. One history teacher is not competent in a lot of his so called teachings as a history teacher. He even proceeded to argue with my child repeatedly over a political issue. He was giving the class misinformation. My daughter pulled up the accurate info, the info she was providing. The teacher simply stopped arguing but never apologized to the class or admitted to them he was wrong. This teacher promotes illegal immigration in the classroom. The office staff is not competent, they loose paperwork that students are required to turn in. This causes a lot of issues with grading, not only for the students but the teachers as well. A 9th grade English teacher does not allow students to turn in work late, even when they are sick and have been to the hospital over an illness. I find this unreasonable. How is a student who is that sick supposed to do their school work on time and be there to turn it in? One of the PE teachers likes to do female students hair and makeup during class time. This is not professional and it is not doing the job she is paid for. The students she does hair and makeup for are excused from playing sports in PE and they pass with an A. From what has been witnessed it is only the girls who are Hispanic that receive this attention and excuse from participating in PE. When the dance coach told my daughter to drop down like a whore for a dance move I was disgusted. I had to fight with the school to obtain a refund for the $500 fee for being on the dance team. I was originally excited for my daughter to attend this school. I was thinking this would be a great educational opportunity. I sadly see that I was mistaken. If you ever consider buying ad space in the school paper or yearbook think twice about it. We have had nothing but trouble and threats over it. A refusal to place the ad we want and refusal to refund the money we spent on the ad space.

The Principal, VP and staff are available and willing to help with any concerns. Students get individual attention and lots of resources both at school and online. This school has a more "hands-on" type learning style compared to public school. Plus, there are so much more opportunities for extracurricular activities such as clubs, sports and field trips. The school really works hard to accommodate parents' schedules. Probably the thing I love most about Bear Springs is student behavior. There is zero-tolerance for bullying and bad behavior. The Principal and VP are very helpful in dealing with any situations. I have noticed that the student atmosphere at Bear Springs is much more accepting and supportive than I've seen at other schools. And the most important part ... my kids love it! They get up happy each morning, ready to go to school.
