I came here with a small group for brunch yesterday. It was my first time there. I'll start with the positive; the music and my food was good. I ordered the BF combo. My pancakes were fluffy and flavorful, the bacon was crispy, and my egss well scrambled. Now to the reason why I'm rating this place a 3. I asked our waiter, Adam what flavors of mimosas did they have, he checked and came back and told us, Mango, strawberry, and OJ. I had already messaged the restaurant to ask when their flavors were ahead of time, they answered my question Monday morning, and said: OJ, pineapple, cranberry, strawberry, peach, and mango. So right off the bat, that was wrong. Next, Adam didn't do a good job explaining what this restaurant calls "bottomless mimosas" Someone had to ask him to clarify. If you want bottomless with OJ only, it's a flat rate of $15. If you want other flavors, it's an extra $5 every time you order one. That's not what bottomless is. You have a flat rate and that means unlimited, not you keep paying for them with every flavor you order. I'm so glad my friend asked for clarificaiton before I ordered my second. I told our waiter to change my order from "bottomless" to 1 strawberry. I hate OJ. Next, we kept having to ask Adam for the same thing, many times. All of us wanted water, we kept having to re-order it, at the start our table only had 3 menus. More people started to arrive, so we asked for more menus; at one point we had 8 people at the table still sharing 3 menus. It took him a while to bring more for us. He was also slow with refills and remembering what we ordered. That's why you right it down. 1 person's chicken wings that came with her waffle weren't cooked enough. Someone else who had been there before ordered the same thing, but I guess someone else was cooking, because she said this time her catfish and greens weren't very good. Hi I was here at a event nice Ambiance, but it change when I order food I order some spinach dip everybody at my table order. my dip was the last to come. I thought appetizers came first it took like 2hrs and when it came it was not a spinach dip it was a cheese dip. I wanted to order something else the owner told me that I had to eat it and pay for it because she don't throw food away instead of treating me like a paying customer she gave bad customer service skills I was willing to buy something else but she never came back to the table until she wanted us to pay. I told her I was not going to pay for something I did not eat. spinach dip is one of my favorites. she talked to me like I was a nobody very rude she said you people do this all the time and told us to leave I will never be back here. read more

I really really really try to avoid writing bad reviews because everyone has an off day or night or time. I take that completely into consideration when writing these reviews. I want businesses to succeed. That said, I have come to this establishment MULTIPLE times since its opening and was there practically every weekend when it was 'the other business.' When I come, I usually bring three to four additional people with me, we game, love the music and ambiance, and the crowd is great. The service - Oh Lord! Why? First of all, the woman with the long straight brown hair that works as a bar tender definitely needs some customer service skill updates. She is rude, standoffish and I'll show you the ridiculous vodka soda with extra lemons she prepared for me!! We do it all when we come, as stated earlier. We will pay to get in if later in the evening (even though we are women) we tip well at the bar, we game quite a bit and we dance and order food and enjoy all it is supposed to have to offer. So we order catfish nuggets. I remember the old days there - where they were actual nuggets and not slivers. Someone paying that amount of money for nuggets (fries are not included) and getting strings of catfish is not cool! That was two weeks ago. Went back, did the same this past weekend, game, drink, TIP (that is whisked away so fast you thought you didn't put it in the tip cup at all) and party. This time, lesson learned from the catfish slivers, I'm going for the gusto! I want the entire catfish please. This comes with fries. Yay! For $18 and change. Fine! But I want another piece - can I order that? Nope! It has to be the dinner. I mean. Really? Why again? I was deeply disappointed in the service and how far my buck really took me here. I want to continue to support so I hope these reviews are taken seriously by the owners. They seem like lovely people. read more

We decided to support this Black Owned Business. Well the crowd tonight on Friday is 60 and older. The live entertainment was great. The food was good. The drinks were VERY VERY VERY MUCHO MUCHO WATERY! I paid for Don Julio for my Top Shelf Margarita! The TOP SHELF comes with Cuervo ( no good). So, judge for yourself!! I stopped in on a Sunday and was able to see Ronnie Rose, my absolute favorite singer and live band. Very nice groove and had a French 76 martini, the tall glass! It was around lunch time, I didn't get food this time. The food I have had in the past is great! I've had the meatloaf before and it was outstanding! I really was impressed. But they don't always have it. Service was very good . Great neighborhood mainstay. read more

Today was first time visiting this place for brunch, for the amount of price they charged the food is not so great. Now I love my pancakes but the eggs were so dried. Loved this venue! Went for my friend's 50th Bday party. Friendly staff, clean and welcoming environment. Delicious food and drinks! The locals came towards the end of the party and they truly like to party, DJ was awesome, she got on the dance floor danced and engaged with everyone. This place is a new gem! Located 15 minutes from downtown and easy access to the free way. Service was excellent and the live music was a bonus surprise! The bar drinks were reasonably priced and well prepared. The food was delicious. The salmon was excellent. The meat lovers pizza was flavorful and satisfying. Also tried the buffalo chicken wings and they were phenomenal! This place will not disappoint. And don't forget the dessert! You cannot leave The West Side Oasis without trying the Rum cake with vanilla ice cream! ALMOST FORGOT! There is a dress code, business casual to fit in with the sophisticated crowed. read more

When you open a business that is customer based and reliant upon people to buy your product and enlist people to help you to get your business off the ground and to become successful how do you treat all of your customers? Do you think that because you are trying to improve the reputation of a particular area of town it is alright to treat people that are celebrities one way and the people who support you by purchasing another way? I believe that all people should be respected and treated the same way. Good customer service, good product and appropriate follow up are the hallmarks of any successful business. If you have been to a place more than 4 times and receive the same disrespectful treatment and terrible service would you say something to the public by giving an appropriate bad review because more than one area of service falls terribly short of what is expected from other businesses in the same category or should you just accept it as a norm and say nothing. When people spend thier money they expect great service am I right or wrong? I am in a quandry because I would like to see this business prosper and become a great hallmark in Las Vegas however they fall short of what is decently expected. Unfortunately in speaking with previous new patrons I have found the same complaints. 1. Poor customer service staff just will outright ignore you or tell you they will be right back and don't come back because they are told it is not necessary to serve those persons right away they can wait. 2. Charge on price on a menu and when your bill comes for the same drink for example ordered you have been upcharged for the second and/or third drink and food is a different price than what is on the menu that you selected from. Oh also there are 2 menus but you absolutely adhere to the appropriate menu for the time frame. 3. Recieve food cold or outright not cooked at all. 4. Bought food by the server that you did not order and than billed for it after you have told them it was not your order. 5. Told that "we serve paying customers 1st and than we serve others." When you can show that there has not been a time that you went and supported them that you did not spend no less than at least $80.00 to $100.00 with tips each time you have been there. There is more. Westside Oasis receives 2 stars from me and the only reason is because they hired Bobby Rose and friends to help them build thier business. If it wasn't for the entertainment this establishment would would recieve Zero stars. If you read this entire review I look forward to your feedback. Thank you. read more

I can only hope that the WSO is able withstand the economy, location and community. Please straddle the line of what was and what you want to be. Some old customers needed to get ghost but others know and are willing to pay for top shelf. So let's keep them around folks. Help this #BBiz and don't nurse one drink, don't sneak in your own alcohol order some food. WSO treat the neighborhood good and they will treat you good. It's not personal it's business. I really wish they had a negative star rating but since that is not possible I had at least click on the single star. The place has by far the worst service and management of any establishment I have ever visited in Las Vegas. One thing on a positive note is you won't get a DUI since you can only order one drink per hour if you are lucky. read more
