The program provides visual aids that are very helpful for me, the courses goes at my own personal pace and there are reviews of previous lessons to assure that I have not forgotten what I have learned. I am thrilled with all the progress I have made. On-line classes through Skype are great, I can learn from the privacy of my own home, there is no commuting involved and they are flexible with days and time. The best part of it all is the price...only $10.00 per hour!!! I would highly recommend Pralingo

Unfortunately, there…read morewas some missing information on his website and his Yelp profile that I think are important to mention. For the first half of the session with Marc, he mostly talked about his new age philosophies and shared his personal story. He also talked a bit about his podcasts and coaching services. I think maybe he was trying to coach me, which was not what I was looking for. For the second part of the session, Marc did his divination activities like reading tarot cards, running some numerology equations, and opening new age books to pages you suggest. It was not my kind of thing. I am a tough customer for that stuff and I gave him very little leading information. So maybe that was on me if he needs more info to work his magic. Personally, I would not have engaged if I had known this was going to be the content of the session. I am leaving a review on Yelp to help people like me to make more informed decisions. Again, very nice and sincere guy, but he should talk about his methods more on his website so people like me don't slip into the queue. Hence the low rating.

I had special requests since my son didn't really need help with high school classes and she was more than happy to accommodate. I asked Carol if she could help my son with improving his scores on the SAT (+200), help with writing personal statements, and help keeping him organized with deadlines for college applications. Carol did an amazing job assigning him homework and giving him direction on how to research schools, fill out applications, etc. I referred her to another kid on the soccer team that needed that extra boost. My son liked her and she was a great motivator and personable. I don't think I could have got through Senior year without her on our side- She was worth every penny and lifted the stress off my shoulders as a single mother that has never been through the college process. Thank you so much Carol! Brandon and Christine

Other reviewers wrote all the praise that I came here to write, so I'll just add this for any parents whose kids might be struggling with piano lessons elsewhere: My kid had a year of solo lessons with another teacher and it just wasn't a good fit. We all felt a little discouraged that our music loving kiddo wasn't feeling the music. But switching to Sweet Little Sounds flipped the script. She's learning to read music, and she talks about writing her own music on the staff so that she can share it and play with others. It's wonderful to see the glimmer of possibility on her face when she thinks about the music she will make. This is the direct result of the joy and encouragement she experiences in Katie's classroom each week, and I'm so grateful we found Sweet Little Sounds!

It is hard to craft a better endorsement than that, but I will add the parent point of view. Katie is magic. My kids could not be more different and she nurtured each of their love of music, celebrated their differences, and helped them through the challenges of learning a new instrument. She taught them piano in such a joyful and empowering way. With Katie, students learn piano, music theory, musicality, rhythm, and to trust themselves during the learning process. She is fun, organized, and keeps the classes moving so that students don't get bored or discouraged. As the business owner of Sweet Little Sounds, Katie Keefe is an excellent communicator, reliable, and thoughtful about her schedules. She keeps parents informed about student progress and celebrates successes. The value of what Sweet Little Sounds offers is unmatched in our area. Bottom line, your child will be in excellent hands with Katie.

Since starting there, she's never complained about having to go to tutoring (which is A Big Deal) and in fact she's always in good spirits when she goes in and comes back out. On top of that, her MAPS math score that just came out was a 93 (an increase of 14 points from her previous score) and I've no doubt that Alyssa's help was a large part of the reason for that increase. I definitely recommend Alyssa and Liddane if you or your kiddo need a bit of extra help!
