I checked-in here a couple of times, on separate trips out to Lubec, simply to say "Hello!" to a friend-of-a-friend whom I was told lived in the area and worked at West Quoddy Gifts. (Unfortunately, both times, this friend-of-a-friend was not working.) The shop itself is stuffed to the brim with tourist-y goods--nothing really that I would have an interest in. That said, if you're in that neck-of-the-woods, perhaps you could find something to remind you of the Lubec area. read more

We went to see the West Quoddy Lighthouse a couple of months ago and it was monumental for us because it is located at the easternmost part of the US. We just had a cross-country drive from WA this summer and just couldn't believe we actually made it! :D Wanted to get some t-shirts at the lighthouse gift shop but they were already out of my son's size and getting ready to close up for the season. Was delighted to see this cute gift shop on our way back to the highway! Stopped by and was greeted warmly by the shop's owner, Junia. Ended up buying a lot of nice things including fleece vests for the three of us with the lighthouse logo, delicious chocolate covered blue berries, magnets and a dish towel. Junia told us we could also order online. We'll be browsing the gift shop website for gift ideas this Christmas! read more

Cute little shop filled with all kinds of souvenirs ! The owner is super nice and friendly ! I purchased some post cards and she even had stamps available for purchase so I could just drop them at the Lubec post office ! Just passing through Lubec from the Oxford Hills in western Maine ! If you are making a stop in West Quoddy, or even Lubec for that matter, you should probably just visit the iconic West Quoddy Head Lighthouse. The candy striped lighthouse is the easternmost point in the U.S. of A! Such a unique sight warrants a unique souvenir, and I am a fan a collecting small snow globes from my adventures. West Quoddy Gifts was the only gift shop opened in this small, sleepy area when I happened to visit. You can't miss this gift shop as you're driving down the road, but as long as you are looking for the big "OPEN" flag waving out on the main road then you'll be fine. West Quoddy Gifts had all sort of trinkets and treasures of the nautical theme and of course with the lighthouse itself. I easily found what I was looking for--a small snow globe with the West Quoddy Head Lighthouse inside. If you are in the area, this little gift shop is worth stopping at--even if it's just to browse! read more

Entering this store, I would have given it 1 star because of the the person working there. I walked in and said hello. She never acknowledged my presence, asked if she could help, or ever looked up from her phone. While I was looking around, another woman came in to work and the first person left. This new woman was friendly and polite. She even suggested a few items. I'm really glad she came in to relieve the other person. The shop has a wide variety of items, post cards, shirts, and all sorts of souvenirs. I even got a pair of socks that say "easternmost point of the USA". So, it's worth a look around. Hopefully, you will get the nice lady. read more

This gift shop was a great stop on the road out to the lighthouse. They were open later than the lighthouse shop even so we stopped on a Sunday night. The selection was great of Maine gifts and various lighthouse items. I can't rate any higher due to lacking service. It's never good to walk in to buy something and get the impression you are bothering the clerk. read more

Good selection of magnets and post cards (a must for me), and I remember seeing candles, snow globes, keychains, kitchen linens(aprons!), specialty food, dog accessories, belts, balsam pillows, change purses, jewelry, and sea glass. Don't let the scarcity of competition fool you (you're not going to find another spot for souvenir shopping until you go south to Bar Harbor or cross over the Canadian border). You'll definitely get your fill for blueberry/lobster/lighthouse themed knick knacks here. read more

Everything is so cheap and homemade! The art work with local sea glass and shells is beautiful as well. There are dips, mustards, Moxie, magnets, decals, clothing, stamps, sea salt, etc. Definitely worth checking out read more
