I got flats of so many things, but also my favorite purchase was an indoor succulent garden for $8.99 (that had at least 6 different succulents curated together beautifully.) The best part? Free beer. I had Tangerine Space Machine while shopping. It's fun to check out the garden art, waterfalls, dragons, and dinosaurs. There is also a place to get lunch that has Italian sausages and delicious fries starting at $10. This place is HUGE so you may need a nosh at the independent food truck as you leave. Enjoy! She answered all our questions and also had some laughs with her. We were able to pick out our tree and were very happy with the one we found. We had her son, Andrew, deliver and plant the tree. The nursery was packed with both old standards and new, unique varieties, which was delightful. I could have walked around for ages and I'm sure my family would say that I already did! The staff here is excellent- several staff members were able to walk me around and help me to find exactly the variety that would work best for me in several situations... and I'm pretty picky, as a landscape architect and horticulturist. It was like candy for me to be able to walk around with these experts and pick their brains on different qualities of each cultivar- I learned new things, which is always a win. In the end, I went home with a Baetzella peony that I had been searching for at a very good price, a great dwarf Japanese Maple (they have so many to choose from!), and a unique, funny little evergreen that they bred right there at the nursery. Especially if you're looking for a nursery with a great evergreen selection and a lot of knowledge, this is a must-see.
