    Out Maligators Kayna and Riot.

We have 2 Belgian Malinois and a lab Dr Evans was awesome answering all our questions. Taking time to listen and give advice. I don't know what the problem with these negative comments but we haven't had the first problem with this clinic as far as the staff they are all amazing! We drive from Eagle Mountain just for the courtesy that we receive when we come in. Having 2 Belgian Malinois puppies is a challenge especially when taking them to the veterinarian and the staff was quick to lend a hand with them. NEVER have we had an issue coming here and we will always bring our Maligators here!

    Arriving home after vet visit.

We were surprised that the big open room we entered into was actually the primary medical theater with industrial pipes and bright lights overhead. This is what they advertise as being able to be with your pet while they are treated. An assistant admitted us to a small side room where we paid over $1000 to have some tests administered and awaited the vet. When the vet finally came in with test results, she demanded we must have our pet euthanized on the spot. Our cat was terrified and climbed into her carrier wanting to go home. I said I would take my cat home and call a home hospice vet to give her a peaceful passing. The vet threatened to charge me with animal cruelty if I took my pet home rather than having the her euthanize my cat immediately. She argued I was more concerned about myself than my cat and said she was there to represent the cat's interests over mine. The vet sat on the floor blocking the door so we could not leave easily and we were not able to reach an agreement. Finally someone knocked on the door about a true emergency and the vet left us in our room. We soon left thereafter. On our way out we saw a dog lying on the examination table in the big main room and the dog's owner sitting on a chair on the side of the big room with tears streaming down her face. There is no privacy in that place, no demonstrated hygiene in the big wide open space, and no respect for us as pet owners was demonstrated in our experience. We were able to get a hospice vet from Lap of Love named Dr. Layne who was very compassionate to help us with our beloved cat's peaceful passing at home a few days later. We felt terrorized by VEG's approach at a very difficult time for us and for our beloved friend and companion.

They girl at the front desk will not even allow me to tell her what is going on before she says the vet is to busy and handing me a list of other places to go. I could understand the busy excuse if it happened once but three different times is ridiculous. Don't label your company as an emergency service if you're not going to help all animals in need Or provide emergency service. So unprofessional. My recommendation is advance veterinary clinic on 3300 south and about 1000 east. The vet techs and doctors there are absolutely amazing and I've never been turned away no matter how busy. If you care about your pets steer clear of this place.

She started to have extreme trouble breathing tonight and was in a miserable state, so I drove her over there after midnight. I am so grateful for the professionalism and compassion at the Pet Emergency Room. My heart is broken but at least the suffering is over for my dear kitty who I have loved and cared for since the day she was born.

I chose UrgentVet based on a friend in vetmed recommending the chain itself and reading the reviews. Overall, good experience and fair pricing. They are a "fear free" practice I believe, which is positive, especially when you have a dog who has vet-related ear trauma. It does potentially limit what can be done without the need for sedation. I went in hoping to avoid sedation for an ear exam but knew it was a possibility. They did sedate and we went home once she was walking on her own. Pricing ended up being less than expected - mainly because I was quoted an astronomical price. The staff was up front about cost and gave an estimate for the exam fee and ear cytology - this was right after they told me they would likely sedate. I asked for an estimate on sedation and while I was soaking in that number in they mentioned a few other things that could come up but did not say how much they would cost. This caught up to me once the staff left the room. I love up front pricing but would appreciate estimates including the big ticket items - even if they don't end up happening. Not knowing is half the battle. In the end, they were very generous and removed extra charges associated with sedation that my dog didn't use to the full extent because she was sedated for such a short period. They do exams and care in the back without owner present (maybe you can ask, I didn't) which probably helps the pet. I would have appreciated meeting the vet prior to the vet examining/interacting with my dog, especially since my dog has had a traumatic event with a vet in the past. They were very responsive via email - sent invoice and SOAP notes for insurance along with forwarding to my primary vet. I would go back in a urgent situation. I had never been to an urgent vet before and wasn't sure of their setup. Part of any misunderstanding of care choices/pricing would also be improved by me asking for clarification from the jump.

THE BEST PLACE TO TAKE YOUR PET!!!…read more I just went to a different vet hospital and they sucked so bad it made me want to write a review of how incredible this place is!!! They have the most understand people working there! I felt heard and like they had my best interest in mind! I went at 4 am and was frazzled and scared for my dog and they put me at ease and explained everything to me! I felt in such good hands here! They were so knowledgeable and I seriously cannot praise them enough! And after they suggested I get pet insurance and multiple nurses told me about their favorite ones and went through options. Completely outside what they are required to do! They're just so helpful and nice! It wasn't trying to sell me on anything or because the hospital is partnered with anyone. It was about the options I have available and what would work best for me and my puppy! Seriously the most kind and loving staff ever!!! I will recommend them until the day I die! I'm in pleasant grove so I tried to go to one closer to my house and it was the complete opposite experience and had me in tears! I wish I had made the drive to go back to mountain west!!!!
