I was in a lot of pain so this was the first place i reached out to when j got here. First, Paula, the receptionist is the sweetest person ever. You walk into this place and you immediately feel welcomed. She got me the first open appointment she had. She was with me every step of the process and made me super comfortable. Secondly, Dr. Carpenter was the BEST. He has awesome bedside manners and used the best technique and pressure to help me with my back/shoulder issues. After two times, i went from crying in back to being able to breathe again. I'm really appreciative of these two. This place was awesome and i HIGHLY recommend.

When I called to set up a first visit, I was happy with the care the office staff took to get to know me, what I needed, and the best chiropractor for my cervical needs. I was seeing a different chiropractor (which was decent), but it was getting expensive because they didn't take my medical insurance. I was very curious to compare and contrast the two offices. I was much more impressed with New Mexico Chiropractic Center! Dr. Marcus is HIGHLY knowledgeable. He asked me several questions to get the full perspective of what my body had been through and what we needed to work on. He informed me of his background and expertise. He explained every little thing to me scientifically which was amazing. He adjusted me and each time, he charted specifically what manipulation he had performed. Then he would walk me through what else my neck, back, hip, and shoulder needed and then perform the next manipulation and chart again. He also sent me home with exercises, and recommended I continue with physical therapy at the same time as seeing him. I would definitely recommend New Mexico Chiropractic Center! Hands down! Today I feel wonderful. My neck, back, shoulder, and hip are feeling pain free. I can't wait to see what the future brings with this wonderful office. Cheers!

The staff's awareness and implementation of disinfection protocols made me feel safe. It's like getting physical therapy by Facebook. It's a group experience only…read more On the plus side, It's good if you just need to strengthen as they have a good gym and facility and put you through good workouts. So for certain types of situations they are a good place to go -- like a post rehab strengthening stint. On the down side if you have any complex injury management they are so distracted and constantly changing therapists -- and each therapist is managing multiple clients at time -- so they can't keep track of patients individual issues. In my case they missed that I had a serious fracture and so further injured me during the course of therapy. They kept pushing me to work harder despite me reporting pain to them. In general they are too distracted with multiple clients to take feedback well and tend to get defensive rather than correct mistakes. When I mentioned that I wanted to switch to another physical therapy center in a few weeks because of complex medical issues that required individual attention -- knee replacement, foot fracture, spinal fusion -- they retaliated by cancelling all my appointments. This left me -- a post knee replacement surgery rehab patient !!! -- completely in the lurch. I have heard from other medical facilities understand that this is a pattern with this facility and they commonly do this type of relalitation any time a patient wishes to transfer to other facilities. In short, highly negligent behavior as regards patients medical concerns and conditions. Avoid if you have complex medical conditions, are elderly or medically vulnerable in any way. Probably an o.k. place if you are young, strong and just looking to strengthen like a personal trainer type facility but certainly not a reputable place for physical therapy.

I normally go to a structural chiropractor back in California, but obviously wasn't able to see him when I am 1000 or so miles away. Cue anxiety and stress at not being able to manage the (nerve) pain. I called doctor Cata and he was willing to connect with my structural chiropractor back in California, he took the time to have that conversation and allowed me to schedule with him, even though I'm not a regular patient. I'm already sold on the benefits of structural chiropractic, and if you aren't I would absolutely recommend that you give it a try. It has worked wonders on the nerve pain I was having due to in part my scoliosis, and it's not an overstatement to say that it's giving me a second lease on my happiness now that I am nearly nerve pain free. What I enjoyed specifically about doctor Cata is that every step of the way throughout the adjustment, he shared what he was doing and why. He explained what was out of alignment, how he was testing it, and why he was making the adjustments he was making. It was great not just because I'm interested in learning, but it's really helpful for me to understand the what and why behind what he's doing. Oh, and for the adjustment itself - I feel great! As I was driving home I felt the pieces falling back into place and the nerve pain subsiding. I'm going to visit him one more time before I head out to the next leg of the journey, and can't be more thankful that he does what he does.
