Online or on the phone. The receptionist is very friendly and helpful. The facilities are clean and modern. Dr. Carpenter is a talented chiropractor. Adjusted my hips and shoulders and even my neck. I don't normally allow the neck, but he was very gentle and I didn't feel like I was about to be decapitated. I can't say better things about this place. I was in from out of town on a family emergency, supposed to go to the chiro back in Texas, but emergency called and I had to get here. I was in a lot of pain so this was the first place i reached out to when j got here. First, Paula, the receptionist is the sweetest person ever. You walk into this place and you immediately feel welcomed. She got me the first open appointment she had. She was with me every step of the process and made me super comfortable. Secondly, Dr. Carpenter was the BEST. He has awesome bedside manners and used the best technique and pressure to help me with my back/shoulder issues. Very clean and sanitized office during the pandemic, the staff adheres to COVID-19 guidelines. Dr. Carpenter is very good at his job. I pinched a nerve in my back and the pain kept me up at night. Be sure to call for updates hours of operation. He uses a variety of techniques to manipulate the spine and muscles. After my evaluation he released some tension in my back then made adjustments. A staff member attached the TENS unit for ten minutes and I was able to stand with much less pain. It will take some time to reduce the inflammation and some follow up care the resolve the issue. But I am very happy with the results. I've had chiropractic care since childhood when I needed orthotics and corrective shoes due to scoliosis. I been to a variety of chiropractors, quacks to miracle workers. Dr. Carpenter offers professional compassionate care with a background in Physical Therapy. Reducing to 4 stars as they do not return calls for an appointment in any timely manner. I don't know what's going on with the office. But it's not getting my poor back any better. read more

Dr. Carpenter is great! I was visiting Albuquerque for a week when I managed to pinch a nerve in my back. Not wanting to ruin my vacation, I decided to go to Dr. Carpenter based on his positive Yelp reviews. The reviews are spot on! Dr. Carpenter is very professional, and he provided immediate relief to my back pain. He started with some pressure points and massage, and then went into a very gentle adjustment. I have avoided chiropractors for years because of my fear of popping joints, but he is so gentle and efficient that the adjustment didn't bother me at all. His office was able to fit me in the morning I called, and also fit me in two more times that week. He helped relieve my pain so that I could still do all of the activities I had planned for my vacation. If I lived in Albuquerque, I would definitely be a regular at his office! read more

I have been a patient here for years and see the doctor once a week without fail. Dr. Carpenter is the best and most knowledgeable I've had in all my years. The doctor and his staff maintain the cleanest environment. Since the Covid pandemic, the doctor and staff coordinate to make sure social distancing requirements are met. Every little thing I touch is then disinfected by the staff with bleach and other implements. I've never felt rushed and the atmosphere is very friendly. The doctor shows concern and genuinely cares about his patients. The doctor thoroughly cleans EVERYTHING a patient may have touched, BEFORE the patient leaves the room. The patient does not even touch the door upon exit; the door is opened for them. For the next patient, all that is left to do is change the facial paper, and I imagine he waits to do that so that the next patient may feel assured. Hence, as soon as a patient leaves, another is ready to be seen right away. I'm in my (sort of) older years now and feel very safe during my visits, and my back is very happy. I went in for my second appointment today it seem like all they cared about is getting people in and out of the office as quickly as possible a person left the exam room within 20 seconds the doctor invited me in and his cleaning methods were to change a piece of paper on the massage table that I was going to put my face in. read more

The practice IS OPEN in ABQ. I believe the prior two reviews are from when he had a practice in CA. I really lucked out finding Dr Carpenter. He does a lot of muscle work along with the adjustment. I am usually very nervous getting adjustments. I hate my neck getting jerked this way and that. Dr Carpenter has the most gentle way of adjusting my neck that I have experienced.
