I am sure the long line of cars clogging Old Hickory Blvd is annoying to the people that live nearby, it took a while to park It is music, beer, food, field to sit at. $25 admission to this is too steep. With the bugs, the crowd, and the crazy lines for food, It wasnt worth it staying so we left after 15 minutes. Glad we didnt stick around for everyone leaving, the parking situation must be insane to leave. Maybe if the event was a bit more it would be worth the admission a but more. It seems like a missed opportunity to have arts and crafts vendors on site.

If you arrive early on a warm day, start with the loop and aim to get to the Perenn cafe to cool down and have an amazing lunch. The btl was amazing but the grilled sandwich with the added prosciutto was epic. Enjoyed the Japanese garden section the most. Also very shaded for later in the day. The mansion as of August (2026) has an incredible collection of paintings on loan from the Nashville Parthenon that's not to be missed. Then take stroll around the South side of the mansion under the wisteria and past the fountain and waterfall.

The day was cold and dreary, but I still had an amazing time. The tour guide, Paul, was excellent. He kept the tour entertaining and educational. Paul seemed very passionate about the history and culture of Nashville. The tour lasted a little over an hour, and at the end, he gave us suggestions and directions based on our interests. I loved his honesty on places he thought we would or wouldn't enjoy based on our interests.  These tours are a great way to meet other travelers while enjoying the major attractions.  Of course, the tours aren't completely free because guides do accept gratuity, which they truly deserve.

We were seated the bar and it was cool to watch the kitchen in action. They were moving and focused! Our server was nice but I think she had too many tables to cover. We were in no rush so it was ok. She was always rushing by and I felt so bad for her. I had a cocktail. It was ok. I ordered something else and it wasn't good at all so the server so kindly replaced it. It was easy to make a reservation using an app, but it was not necessary when we arrived at 4:45pm. We were greeted by the hostess and seated immediately after confirming the number in our dinner party. The inside has been updated with new colors, wallpaper, and decor on the wall. The booth seating appeared reupholstered and was very springy. Haha. It was comfortable. Love the updates despite it making the interior seemed much darker with the dimmed lighting. (No photo of today's decor.) Our server was attentive and knew how to handle several tables as the main dining area filled up. By the time we left, all the tables were occupied. I loved my Blackened Salmon with Shrimp dish. Delicious with different flavors tickling my senses. I was forewarned, but the spiciness was not too hot - it was perfect! The side salad and appetizer were so filling along with the bread. After the main course, I had no room for dessert. Wah. I love all of their dessert options. However, we did learn that the mini sizes are no longer available. (sigh) Of course, I will come back.
