Jim was really nice, and had great recommendations for us outside of the tour. Would definitely recommend it!

The Parthenon - 09.01.25 a full-scale replica of the original Parthenon in Athens, Greece

We wanted to do some sightseeing while we were there, and this was definitely one of the coolest landmarks we checked out during the trip. The size of this place is what really stands out when you first see it. It is an exact size replica of the original Parthenon in Athens, Greece, and seeing it sitting right in Centennial Park was pretty impressive. We spent some time walking around, taking pictures, and checking out the architecture. It is one of those places that is even more impressive in person than it is in pictures. We also enjoyed learning about the history behind it and how Nashville originally built it for the 1897 Tennessee Centennial Exposition. The fact that it was supposed to be temporary but eventually became a permanent Nashville landmark makes it even more interesting. The inside is also home to the massive Athena statue and several art exhibits. It was a great change of pace from the football game and everything else we had planned for the weekend. Getting out with my friends and seeing some of the history and landmarks around Nashville made the trip that much more memorable. Definitely glad we made the stop at The Parthenon. It is a beautiful and unique Nashville landmark, and I would recommend checking it out if you are visiting the city. The Parthenon

I loved learning about the building of the Athena statue. So much effort to take a small model and make it colossal. Seeing the statue after reading about its creation made me appreciate it even more. Glas we stopped here.

Definitely worth it. The house tour was done by separate guides in each room so the guide stays and you move on. It was efficient and well done. The guides are very knowledgeable and were able to answer all of our questions. We had about 9 people in our group so ample space in each room to move around and check out the artifacts. It's an open concept so not much is roped off (just some of the side rooms) but the main room you are free to roam in which gives you an up close view to everything. No photography inside the mansion. For those that complete the tour, there is a free wine tasting where we tasted 4 wines. They were all sweet and pleasant to taste on our warm day. Be sure to find Alibi and Norman, the resident horses. They like a good scratch. We also enjoyed the charcuterie tray in the wine bar as a lunch snack. Staff was very friendly and so helpful. Great stop.

She has lived there for years and had never done this tour, which made it feel like a bit of a discovery for both of us. We ended up at the Lotz House Museum, and it turned out to be one of those unexpectedly memorable experiences. On this particular day, we lucked out with Chuck as our guide. He is a former high school history professor, and you can tell immediately. He does not just recite facts, he brings everything to life with stories, details, and just the right amount of drama. The house itself is not large, but that almost works in its favor. Between the stories of the Lotz family and the vivid accounts of the Battle of Franklin happening right outside, you can practically see it all unfolding as you move from room to room. It is the kind of experience that sticks with you long after you leave, and at around seventeen dollars, it feels like an absolute steal. And do not skip the gift shop. Treat yourself to a peach Nehi soda on your way out. It is unexpectedly fantastic, and I am still thinking about how to get my hands on more.
