My son has been going to this school for 2 years now. He is going into his 8th grade year. He has been bullied by the same kids in his 6th and 7th grade year. This school has done absolutely nothing to stop it. The principal is a coward. I went in one day to try and talk to her and she saw me, and went into her office and slammed the door shut. Coward . I'm the mother of a child who has been (and still is being) the focus of bullying by a group of girls. I've done everything I can think of to get a handle on this as it is causing mental and emotional distress to her. So badly that she doesn't even want to go to that West Jeff anymore. She's tired of it. And tired that absolutely nothing is being done about it because as the Assistant Principal says, "It's a he said, she said situation. Now what bully is going to fess up of their own free will and say " Yes, I'm doing that to so and so daily"? She says she has to have the truth beyond a reasonable doubt. Completely ridiculous if the policy is NO tolerance. Not Some tolerance, NO tolerance. In all actuality, it's just TOLERANCE. 100% TOLERANCE. The administration thinks that they are trying to solve it but in all actuality, have made it worse, just like these girls told my child would happen if she told anyone about the name-calling, the passing around of untrue rumors, pushing other students into my daughter etc. I'm actually at a complete loss as to where to go from here. It seems that their "NO TOLERANCE BULLYING" policy isn't working out real well in our situation. Just yesterday, not only was I told that all 3 of bullies were going to be brought into the principal's office along with my daughter so boundaries could be given. Well, my daughter and ONE of the girls were actually called in. Not only that, AFTER the meeting, my daughter was bullied and laughed at more than ever. Bullies run that school and get away with about everything. I've asked other students for their opinions on the situation (not random students but friends of my son's, of which he has MANY). I went through 3 years of this school as a student starting in 2016. Throughout all of the years of being at this school there has been constant inappropriate threats jokes and other comments and a lot of teachers im pretty sure dont even have licences being that many teachers will take homework and lose it the next day. There discipline is horribly messed up and the school forces extreme work out of students as they are already stressed out from waking up sometimes even at 5 for the bus. This school is not recommended by me and i dont suggest going there. read more
